Life is Strange: Reunion - Xbox Series X

The game is scheduled for a global launch on March 26, 2026. It will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Unlike the original 2015 game, the entire experience will release on launch day rather than in an episodic format.

Life is Strange: Reunion serves as the definitive conclusion to the "Max and Chloe Saga." Set at Caledon University, where Max Caulfield is a photography teacher, the story begins when Max returns from a weekend away to find the campus engulfed in a deadly inferno. Using her recovered Rewind power, Max jumps three days back in time to identify the culprits and stop the fire, only to be reunited with Chloe Price, who arrives at the university haunted by "impossible memories" of a past she never lived.

Yes. For the first time in the franchise, Max and Chloe serve as dual playable protagonists. Players alternate between their perspectives for entire scenes, and when the duo is together, control passes back and forth as discussions unfold. A unique UI feature displays sketches of both characters above dialogue options to show which character's life is being directly impacted by the choice.

• Max Caulfield: Max utilizes her iconic Rewind power to undo decisions, extract information from conversations, and solve "four-dimensional puzzles." Her powers have evolved, allowing her to leap into a Polaroid photograph and "stay" in that past for a total do-over of the doomed weekend.
• Chloe Price: Lacking supernatural abilities, Chloe relies on her Backtalk skill from Before the Storm. This mechanic functions as a high-stakes social combat system where Chloe uses her wits and "barbed put-downs" to browbeat opponents. Unlike Max's segments, failures in Chloe's Backtalk are permanent and cannot be rewound.

The game is a direct sequel to the 2024 title Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. Chloe’s return is a direct consequence of Max merging two parallel timelines at the end of Double Exposure. This merge resulted in a unified reality where Chloe survived, though she is now struggling with the metaphysical trauma of memories originating from a timeline where she was sacrificed.

Chloe Price is now the touring band manager for Drugstore Makeup, the punk band originally formed by Steph Gingrich and Izzie Margolis. This role reflects her growth into a professional position while remaining rooted in the "punk" subculture.
