Product Description

Just when you think you're safe from having your brains eaten, another zombie apocalypse always seems to spring up. Frank West saved America from being overrun by zombies in the original Dead Rising, but the cause of the zombification was never completely contained, leaving the door open for future zombie outbreaks. Dead Rising 2 picks up the story several years later, and this time Fortune City, the entertainment capital of America, is the site of the next zombie convention. Unfortunately, what happens in Fortune City will not stay in Fortune City if motocross champion Chuck Greene is unable to stem the zombie tide.

Dead Rising 2 shifts the action from the everyday world of mid-West America to the glitz and glamour of Fortune City, America's latest and greatest entertainment playground. People flock to Fortune City from around the globe to escape from reality and the chance to win big.

The game sees the introduction of former national Motocross champion, Chuck Greene, as the main protagonist. Before he hit the big time with a team and sponsorship behind him Chuck was forced to repair his own bikes, leaving him incredibly resourceful; a real handyman. A single father, Chuck dotes on his daughter Katey who, since the loss of her mother, he will do anything for.

With hundreds of zombies on screen at any one time, the original Dead Rising forced gamers to turn the everyday objects they found in the Mall into improvised weapons capable of fending off attacks.

Dead Rising 2 promises to increase the carnage with even more zombies intent on feasting on human flesh and countless new objects with which Chuck can make the undead dead. Dead Rising 2 is being developed by Canadian developer Blue Castle Games in close collaboration with Capcom. A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process, including Capcom's global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game's Producer, will play an active role in the project.

Good game but dead rising off the record was better because of sandbox mode. This one did not have a sandbox mode.

My gamer wants to experience the entire history of the Dead Rising Series rather than just jumping in at #3, etc. He now has 1, 2, 2 off the record, and 3. He is enjoying the series tremendously. Quality of games from GS is consistent and customer service is great. Birthday coming soon. #4.

i love third person games like gta where you can get in a car and do anything this game is just like that.. graphics are ok the thing i hate about it is that you have to go to a bathroom and save it and if you die you need to start in the last time you saved it and the bosses are too hard

Dead Rising 2

Dead Rising 2 is a great game. The game is similar to the first, you are in a mall waiting for someone to come rescue you. But in Dead Rising 2, you start out playing as Chuck Greene who is a competitor in a PPV called TIR (Terror is Reality). TIR is also a minigame in the game that you can play and is easy to follow (simply put, you kill zombies in 4 different kinds of game types). Once you complete TIR in the campaign, you return backstage and it turns out that the zombies used in the show have escaped and panic has ensued. Chuck, and his daughter, escaped into the mall's safe zone. When all has settled, it turns out that Chuck has been blamed for what has happened. From there you try to clear your name. That is all I am going to say so I don't give out a lot of spoilers, but if you want to find out, I recommend that you give this game a chance.

It was a very fun sequel to dead rising released in 2006 or 2007 but i enjoyed dead rising 2 the graphics are amazing i can hear the sound great and the game play is very fun to kill over millions of zombies with all types of weapons wear all types of clothing and the cut seances of the game REALLY show your characters attire for once in maybe any game which makes it very fun the lasting appeal is great i play the game for an whole hour and the 5 minutes later i play for 8 more hours and when the story gets old it is always fun to play the awesome terror is reality mini-games online and after that gets old then it is fun to redo the main campaign with a friend online and just look at blood and zombies everywhere on your screen and the combo weapons system is very funny and fun so i would say pick this one up.....FOR ZOMBIE KILLING FUN!!!!1

My stupid decisions ruined this game

Let me begin to say Dead Rising 2 is awesome, and yes its fun! Why exactly did i give it a 1 star? Let me explain to you that i was caught in the fun going around killing zombies, finding weapons and money until i didn't realize i was TIMED on my main quest. I accidently saved my progress after hours and days of success and when i did, i proceeded to go back to the security room when BOOM "Case 3 Expires". So okay i loaded it again and BOOM again "Case 3 Expires". Am i stuck? Am i forced to really start all over again? I mean the only 3 lousy options i have is "Load, Restart Story, or Continue Playing. Obviously i'd like to know the main story. Loading is not a option now, Restarting Story ain't happening and Continue Playing without knowing the main storyline is just MAD. I'm disappointed, mainly games have auto save OR if the makers were smart enough maybe the main quest wouldn't be timed. I easily returned the game and quit and my dreams of getting Dead Rising 3 has fallen. Onto another game.

This game is very fun and gives hours of entertainment. The story grips hold and you don't want to stop. Whether it's playing through the story, fighting psychopaths (the bosses in the game), or trying to win big at the casino. the only problem was the fact that when you changed clothes Chuck fiddled with them for like an hour, so zombies could easily get you during that time.
