What is the difference between mario cart 8 deluxe and mario cart 8

The main difference is that mk8 is for wiiu and deluxe is for Switch. Deluxe also comes with all the dlc pre-installed and battle mode. There are some changes in game mechanics, such as the ability to hold two items at once in deluxe, and an additional level of drift boost (purple sparks). Otherwise they're mostly the same.

And for a note, any game made by Nintendo or with "Mario" in the name are not playable on PS4. The original Mario Kart 8 is on the Wii U.

No you do not. You can use your regular joy cons. But i prefer not to buy the nintendo switch wheel controllers, because its a waste and not requiered

What's the difference between mario kart 8 & Mario kart 8 deluxe .

Unlike the original Mario Kart 8, Deluxe contains all the dlc from the original. It also contains two exclusive characters, Inkling Girl and Inkling Boy,  as well as a battle mode that was reworked from the original game.
