Time Commando follows Stanley Opar, a soldier tasked with entering a malfunctioning virtual‑reality system infected by a rogue time‑distortion virus. As the system collapses, Stanley is thrown through multiple historical eras—from prehistoric jungles to medieval castles, feudal Japan, the Wild West, and even the distant future. Each era features its own enemies, weapons, and combat techniques, forcing players to adapt as they progress. Fight hand‑to‑hand, wield era‑appropriate weapons, dodge traps, and collect power‑ups while racing against the clock to stop the virus before it destroys the real world.
