What I ordered, but not what I wanted

This purchase reinforced my fears of buying used games online. To my knowledge, I t was a legitimate copy of the game, but I received it with cracks and chips out of the cartridge and a label that was hardly recognizable. The entire cartridge looked like it was thrown against a brick wall, multiple times. There was also an immediate, cringe inducing stickiness to the cartridge that screamed “I was dropped in a bottle of soda, and left there for a week.” Thankfully, the return policy functioned without a hitch in store. Be wary of buying online. If your local gamestop has clearly informed you that they take returns in store, then go ahead and buy a copy.

Plays like it was new. The actual gameplay is odd if your new to it and you have to pay attention to detail. But very fun

Best metroid game yet!

Metroid Fusion is by far the best game in the metroid series! It has an excellent storyline/gameplay, excellent lasting appeal, & great graphics! The only thing I did not like (why I rated the game a 9 instead of a 10) was that the sound was cheesy, but besides that, this is an excellent game!

Hard but a good title

O.K so after it took 8 years for nintendo to make another game for the metroid fan base they decided to put this on the GBA. Which I think its a smart move since metroid prime was about to come out and they added something for it if you had the game boy advance player which I have bought just for this review. But anyways this game takes soon after super metroid when samus gets inffectived by a x parasite soon after words she faints when she is leaving soon after words. The GF does get her body but is given a small % to survive. But someone finds a cure before she dies and it turns out that the metroids were the preadtors of the x parasite. After using the cure samus becomes part metroid meaning now she is weak to cold.(This will play out later trust me). And since the x had taken up so much of her suit some peices were surgically removed. Whats left of the power is now called the fusion suit. After that she is sent to a a biological space station to retrieve her weapons as they are working on it. With her new ship she gets a new computer who she names Adam after her former commender. After she gets to a certain part of the ship she encouters the x parasite which she can absorb up now for some reason. Guessing it's because of the cure.Upon further investigation we see that samus's old suit is now alive. The x parasite has taken over her suit with ALL OF HER POWER from the last game. Which she name the SA-X.(Samus aran x). Hey remember when i told you guys about her being weak to ice now well guess what the SA-X has an ice beam. But now gameplay wise samus plays just like super metroid but she can climb ledges. For some reason though she can no longer wall jump with one wall but its not that bad actually. She is also very weak when you start so don't feel bad if you die because i have probably died about 10 times for this review, and i play this game alot. But unlike other metroid titles instead of finding new weapons your just getting everything back. The only thing new that I can think of is the ice missles since samus can no longer use the ice beam. The non linear part of metroid is gone.Adam well always tell you where to go.Your area is split up into 7 different areas with the main area. Now you can explore but there is usually something in the way from you getting there.Adam may tell you where to go but doesn't tell how to do it so theres still that.Bosses are actually a sight to see. Bosses well use the power your going to get so it lets you see what is going to happen. Some are easy and some are hard WAIT RIDLEY IS IN THIS GAME. Aw its just an x parasite of ridley. You will cross with the SA-X where you either run or hide and if you get caught get ready to run. If that wasn't bad enough the music when you get caught is survie mood wipe lash to the extreme. I mean come on look it up and tell me you wouldn't be scared. Samus does come across sector 0 which has METROIDS. What there inside I thought they were gone. But after a few rooms later the x parasite tries to kill the metroids but is soon over powered with a time limit.(yes metroid always has something that goes boom at the end of each game). She escapes with sector 0 gone.Adam tells her since the x parasite produces asexually theres no fewer the 10 SA-X. We then find out that Adam contains the mind of her former commander. He then tells her to make the station self destrucate . Which now you can go find the other items. She then finds an SA-X and deletes beats murdered it almost completely After that though you start to deteation and you better run back to that ship. But when we get there the ships gone and theres an eggshell almost as if there was something there. A second later an omega metroid pops out where it takes all but one of samus health. The SA-X that samus almost killed tries to kill the metroid but fails. Just get that core for a full heal and the ice beam to destroy it. Samus then gets into her ship thus ending the game. I can safely say this is an amazing game. All the things i can say about is a net pick its just really hard to play it off the gameboy but besides that its perfect.
