Do you need the R3, L3 remote controller to play Spiderman for PS4?

Yes. There are parts of the game where you use L3/R3 to power up special suits, and to check surrounding areas.

What all does a new copy of the game come with

The base game gives you the same as the pre-orders, but the difference is that you have to unlock the suits & skill points (through experience gained in fights or completing missions & challenges), as opposed to having them right away. A fully playable story-line, and lots of side-missions & challenges. NO pizza delivery missions, haha.
