What is the Tales of Berseria story?

Tales of Berseria tells the dark, emotional story of Velvet Crowe, a young woman consumed by rage and vengeance after her brother is sacrificed by her brother-in-law, Artorius, during a traumatic event called the Scarlet Night, leading her to become a daemon (demon) and embark on a quest to kill Artorius, gathering a motley crew of pirates, spirits, and other outcasts while questioning the line between emotion and reason in a world plagued by malevolence.
