AwesomeWhen i was first watching the videos i liked how the graphics looked and then i wondered who it was made by because the graphics looked like if they were from final fantasy. So i checked and i didnt see square enix so then i saw it was made by the developers of final fantasy so i was excited about it and went and bought. It is one of the best games i've ever played.

Amazing without a doubt! This game is AMAZING! I know 'cause I played it. In the game, you can roam around the world. There are many different cities you can stop at, and many different dungeons you can explore including The Tower Of Babel, Noa's Ark, El Dorado, The Pyramids Of Egypt, and The Cabal's Air Base. The Sky battles are amazing, and the dungeon battles are awesome. To save your dad, and to save the world, you must collect all the pieces of the tablet. The main enemy to stop you is The Cabal. The Cabal are a group of badguys trying to take over the world. Overall, the game is a excellent game.

A nice thought...butOnce in awhile a great RPG idea comes out that we've been longing to see. However more often than not, being that they are usually the first in a line, they falter before the finish. Nostalgia is one of those games. It promises a typical RPG adventure to save the world, but in the style of "Steam Punk" with airships, Victorian nonsense and through the use of a time period from our own world. All these elements and more could have been a lot stronger. Design and Customization of characters and the airships is very limited, and you find yourself skipping stores and just saving your money for later in the game, when it might matter to update your equipment. The land battles are too easy, while you find that the airship battles are too hard. You'd love to spend you money on better parts for your airship, but quite simply, there aren't any, and you have to wait it out with the story. As for the actual plot, its weak and at times it seems just too simple. Other times you find yourself in a dungeon running around trying to figure out what to do with no clear direction. You have the option to chat with your party at any time by pressing the "Y" button on the DS, but there's no point. You get no real information relating to your current task. Character relationships are fairly shallow and sometimes I wondered if the dialogue had been written by someone in elementary school. Graphics are fine but the animation is terrible. Eventually you receive one devastation move per character and find that they barely move or that the animations are recycled from moves you've previously seen. Contrary to what you may have heard there are little if not any cut scenes throughout the actual game. Audio is fine, although the soundtrack is nothing to get excited about either. Controls are good, and the camera never gives you any problems. Laslty, and this may just be me, but I couldn't help but feel that the characters were a complete rip off of other creations, particularly the main character whose name happens to be "Eddie". I'll say no more on that. Bottom line. If you need something to play pick this game up, but don't expect it to do anything for you.

this game ROCKS!this game is awesome! really. i recomend it. i have been anticipating this game for a while. and i didn't know what it's release day was, i just went to mall one day and it was there. i wasn't prepared, i didn't have enough money. luckily i say i was very lucky my mom was there and she helped me buy it. thanks mom. well, this game rocks! its so cool walking around the world ( although the places arent that big it is still fun.) even though i don't really enjoy the fighting style like this on other games, it like it on this game. i love how Pad just sticks his gun out and fires, its sweet. and Eddies combo attack is nice! and i love melodys flanmoa, its an awesome fire move. i like how it hits everyone. but i havent played the game much, because the day before i got it i was grounded for a couple days so i havent beat it yet. i want to say bravo to ignition entertainment, and everybody else who helped, you rock. usualy i beat games the day after i get it, but not this one. and talk about cool storyline, its awesome! the controls are pretty sweet too. the graphic are okay not like i expected but okay. a little bit of a challenge but not to hard. the ship custimization isn't that good but whatever. i have been watching the video here on gamestop so much, it rocks! as i said I DEFINETLY recomend it!

Nick Storm from
Best rpg I've ever playedThis is one of my favorite games. It has a great storyline, with lots of twists. And, something they should talk about more than they do is the sp(Skill points system.) It's what makes this game really unique. You see, you get sp points every time you win a battle(in addition to money and exp of course) and you can choose to use that to level up different skills. Leveling up skills can; decrease mp cost, increase damage, decrease wait time(or when you take another turn with that character), and lots of other things. This game also has a great storyline(I won't ruin anything) and lots of twists. And, unlike in other games, they don't give you clear instructions on what to do. You have to talk to people and figure it out for yourself. While this does make the game harder, it also makes it more interesting. Although, something I wish they could improve upon is airship combat. Even as you level up, if you want to increase your airship's hp, you'll have to buy an over 20k upgrade plate. And the monsters in the air are way to hard. They don't even give that good of rewards either. In closing, if you like role-playing games, you'll love this.

FantasticNostalgia has got to be one of the best RPGs released on the DS. There have been plenty of games for the DS, some of which are clearly shovelware, some of which are good, and some are exceptional. This falls into the exceptional category. I would easily recommend this to anyone that likes Dragon Quest IV or V, Final Fantasy III or IV. Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. We need more good games on Nintendo platforms now and less casual trash. It starts off much like any RPG a little slow but picks up rather quickly. The combat is traditional JRPG in nearly every sense of the word. WRPGs are nice but they just never seem to hold my attention as much a nice JRPG. Hopefully my scoring and words here will not fall on deaf ears and people will go out and buy this game.
Does this game come with its original case or is it just the cart?

Thank you for your question!
We cannot guarantee that our pre-owned games will come with the original case, art or manual. It depends on if these elements were traded in with the game and what is available at the time of purchase.
