Riftbound: League of Legends Unleashed VEX Champion Deck

The deck is built entirely around Vex, the gloomy, low-energy Yordle from the Shadow Isles. Fitting into the *Unleashed* expansion's core theme *"Power strikes from the shadows"* Vex's gameplay is slow, calculated, and highly defensive.

The Vex Champion Deck is designed to be fully playable right out of the box and includes several accessory extras:

• 56-Card Preconstructed Deck: A complete tournament-legal deck featuring Vex, her domain runes, and battlefields.

• 1 Unleashed Booster Pack: A factory-sealed 14-card pack from Set 3 to help customize and upgrade the deck.

• Custom Paper Deckbox: A durable, flat-shipping foldable deckbox that assembles quickly.

• Double-Faced Gameplay Tokens: Exactly 4 physical tokens, including 1 dual-sided XP/Buff tracker and 3 dual-sided Sprite/Buff tokens, used to track card transformations.

• Extras: A full-size paper playmat, a deck-building strategy guide, and an easy-to-follow rules booklet.

The Vex deck belongs to the Calm (Green) and Chaos (Purple) domaine. Calm cards handle defensive tricks, negating enemy interaction, and stalling board states. Chaos cards focus on positional manipulation, trickery, and bouncing cards between the hand and the board.

To pay for these cards, the 12-card Rune Deck contains:

• 6 Calm Runes
• 6 Chaos Runes

During play, you will channel these runes to pay for Energy costs (by exhausting/tapping them) or Power costs (by recycling them back to the bottom of the Rune Deck)

Vex, Gloomist is the face-up Legend card that resides in your Legend Zone, defining your color domains and providing a constant passive advantage.

Her Legend ability reads: "When you or an ally hold, you may exhaust me to draw 1.". In Riftbound, "holding" occurs when you maintain control over a battlefield lane from a previous turn into your turn's Beginning Phase. Because the deck has endless tools to lock down and stall attackers, you can consistently exhaust your Legend to draw an extra card every turn, securing a massive card advantage over your opponent.

Vex, Apathetic is the deck's primary Epic Chaos-domain Champion unit, costing 4 Energy with 4 Might. She possesses two highly disruptive abilities:

• Deflect: This keyword forces opponents to pay 1 extra Rune of any domain to choose Vex with a spell or ability, protecting her from cheap removal.

• Summon Disruption: When Vex is stationed at a battlefield, any unit played by your opponent at that same battlefield is immediately stunned and cannot be moved for the turn. Since stunned units deal zero combat damage, she completely shuts down sudden attacks on her lane.

The deck offers alternative Champion choices to react to different game states, providing 1 copy of Vex, Cheerless and 2 copies of Vex, Mocking.

• Vex, Mocking: This 5-Energy, 5-Might Calm Champion possesses the Shield keyword (granting +1 Might while defending) and the Tank keyword (meaning she must be assigned combat damage first in battle). Additionally, when you stun an enemy unit at a battlefield, you can immediately move Vex, Mocking to that lane as a reaction, shifting her massive defensive presence exactly where it is needed.

• Vex, Cheerless: This 5-Energy, 5-Might Chaos Champion is carried over from the Spiritforged expansion, providing a matching high-Might threat to anchor your defensive lines.

The deck's support units are designed to build resources and stall combat:

• Trevor Snoozebottom (x2): A Calm yordle costing 3 Energy with 3 Might and the Shield keyword. When Trevor successfully holds a battlefield, his ability lets you play a ready, temporary 3-Might Sprite token to help defend the lane.

• Mister Root (x2): A Chaos Fae costing 2 Energy with 1 Might that has the Accelerate keyword (allowing you to pay 1 Energy and 1 Chaos Power to have him enter play ready instead of exhausted). Whenever Mister Root moves to a battlefield, he generates 2 XP, fueling the deck's leveling and progression mechanics.
