The story of Secrets of Strixhaven moves beyond the classroom and into off-campus life on the plane of Arcavios. This Second Year follows our favorite protagonists Dina, Killian Lu, Quintorius Kand, Rootha Squallheart, and Zimone as they graduate and begin practicing their specialized magic in the wider world. To dive deeper into the lore, a new novel titled Strixhaven: Omens of Chaos by Hugo Award-winning author Seanan McGuire accompanies the set, following a new class of students arriving at the university through the interplanar Omenpaths.

The Silver Scroll foil treatment is a stunning, parchment-like effect returning from the Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth holiday release. In this set, it is exclusively used for the Japanese language versions of the Mystical Archive cards, which can be found as high-end collectibles within Collector Boosters.
