Cauldron Lake, located outside Bright Falls, is a remarkable caldera lake that was once a popular hiking spot until it was closed off by a mysterious government agency, leading to its reputation as a place to steer clear of.

Cauldron Lake conceals a terrifying and ominous realm, known as the Dark Place, which operates on the perplexing principles of dream logic.
