Sandfall Interactive, Kepler Interactive and Laced Records are banding together to bring Lorien Testard’s breakout soundtrack for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to vinyl and CD.

This double LP has been thoughtfully sequenced by Testard, featuring an essential selection of tracks from the soundtrack such as Lumière, Une vie à peindre, and main character themes. 


The music in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is pivotal in driving the emotive story that players have fallen in love with. Most tracks were written and recorded at Testard’s home studio, with a selection also performed and recorded by the prestigious Curieux Orchestre at Midilive Studios, Paris. 


Testard’s debut score is a musical painting that supports the game’s Belle Époque setting. Among many others, the leitmotifs in “Alicia” and “Lumière” are woven into the fabric of the game experience, capturing the grief and hope of the characters and the beauty of Lumière. 


Central to the appeal and effectiveness of the music are the lyrics and vocal melodies of Alice Duport-Percier—the lead voice and emotional heart of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s many vocal tracks. Joining Duport-Percier are vocalists Victor Borba (singer on Devil May Cry 5’s “Bury the Light”) and mezzo-soprano Axelle Verner.
