They include a dock for connecting to your TV, as well as removable Joy-Con™ controllers that you can share with a friend for two-player fun.
Nintendo Switch Lite is dedicated to handheld play and is smaller and lighter than the Nintendo Switch system.

You can enjoy select games with up to two players using the included Joy-Con, with one controller for each player. For those looking to expand their gaming experience, additional controllers can be purchased for multiplayer sessions involving three or more players.
When it comes to the Nintendo Switch Lite, multiplayer gaming is still an option with compatible wireless controllers, including Joy-Con and Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, which are sold separately. If you opt for separate Joy-Con controllers, remember that you'll need a charging device like the Joy-Con Charging Grip to keep them powered.
Nintendo Switch Lite also lacks a built-in stand, which may be necessary for comfortable gameplay with external controllers. For the best experience, Nintendo suggests using officially licensed accessories, such as the Dual USB Play Stand from HORI, to enhance your gaming setup.

Are there any games that run differently on OLED Model vs Standard Switch or Lite?
All three systems are part of the same Nintendo Switch family and are compatible with the full library of Nintendo Switch games. Nintendo specifically states that the Nintendo Switch OLED Model is compatible with the full library of Nintendo Switch games.
However, please note:
The Nintendo Switch OLED Model does not cleanly fit all Nintendo Labo designs, so some Labo kits may not work as intended.
There may also be games where the game experience may differ due to the new capabilities of the console, such as the larger screen size.
So, same game library across all three, but a few accessories (like some Labo kits) and certain experiences can differ slightly on the OLED due to size and hardware differences.
Do I need to buy a microSD card for digital games or downloadable content (DLC)?
If you plan to download multiple or large games then yes, a microSD (or microSDXC) card is strongly recommended. The base internal storage (32 GB or 64 GB) can fill up quickly, especially with large AAA titles or many digital games.
Does the OLED’s dock do anything different compared to the Standard Switch’s dock?
Functionally, both docks allow HDMI output to a TV. The OLED’s dock adds a built-in wired LAN port (useful for stable internet when playing online) and better audio/video stability.
Can my old Switch accessories (carrying case, microSD card, Joy-Con, Pro Controller) work on any Switch model?
Yes, all three Switch versions use the same basic Joy-Con/Pro Controller standard, microSD slot for storage, and general peripheral interfaces. Carrying cases designed for standard Switch will often fit OLED as well (though thickness may vary). However, it's best to confirm with our gaming professionals in store for complete satisfaction. Some accessories are not compatible with the Switch Lite.
Are there any limitations to handheld-only games on Switch Lite?
Yes, a few:
Switch Lite can play all Nintendo Switch software that supports handheld mode.
If a game relies on Joy-Con features like HD Rumble, IR Motion Camera, or certain motion controls, some features won’t be available using Switch Lite alone.
For those features (for example, some modes in Ring Fit Adventure, 1-2-Switch, Super Mario Party, certain Labo kits), you’ll need to wirelessly connect Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) and sometimes set the system up in a way that mimics tabletop/TV play.
So; most games run, but some party/motion titles and specific features need extra Joy-Con and/or a different setup on Switch Lite.
