WHY GAMESTOP IS EXCITED FOR SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE

Smash is back! Gaming universes collide in this newest iteration of the all-time classic Nintendo fighting game, but this time around there are more characters than ever before. A lot more!

All-time favorites make a comeback and newcomers join the fray. A total of 32 different franchises are represented, enabling you to discover fresh fighters and completely new fighting styles with which to battle. Get ready to step toward Final Destination with faster combat, more defensive options, new attacks and, of course, new supers. Let the melee begin!

  • Every Character Returns: Did you miss Young Link from Super Smash Bros. Melee? Or Lucas for Super Smash Bros. Brawl? Not anymore. Now every character from every previous version of Super Smash Bros. will be available to play in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

  • More Stages Than Ever Before: Race into battle on over 100 stages. Nope, that's not a typo. 100 stages! Older arenas are revamped for new gameplay while new stages give players a fresh setting to smash their opponents. Also, if fancy stages aren't your thing, every stage also has a Battlefield and Final Destination version.

  • New Challengers Approach: In addition to all the returning characters, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate ups the ante with additional characters. Play as Inkling from Splatoon, Ridley from the Metroid series, Simon from Castlevania, King K. Rool from the Donkey Kong series and many more.

Simply put, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate lives up to its name, and is designed to be the best Super Smash Bros. experience ever made. The latest edition to this influential series comes to Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018. Start doing those thumb exercises, it's almost time to fight!
