An action packed yet kid friendly addition to the Nintendo universe, Luigi’s Mansion 3 is a first-person look into a vacation gone wrong. Luigi travels to a seemingly beautiful hotel with Mario, Peach and the rest of the gang, but instead of some much-needed rest and relaxation, Luigi is forced to fight against some not-so-friendly ghosts. The newest edition to the Luigi’s Mansion franchise includes a fierce new weapon to help Luigi and his friends fight their way home, the Poltergust G-00.
Poltergust G-00’s New Functions:
The “Slam” Feature: While trapping a ghost you can slam it on the ground, against walls and furniture or even against other ghosts to stun them and add additional damage.
The “Suction Shot”: When you find the plunger you can attach it to the Poltergust G-00, making the weapon even more useful. Pull the string when the plunger attaches to an object to destroy and open doors as well as annihilate furniture. The plunger is also effective against some ghosts, disarming them by taking away their shields.
The “Burst” Feature: When ghosts decide to gang up on Luigi, use the Burst feature, this will utilize air pressure to blow ghosts away from you. This feature will also enable Luigi to jump, using the air pressure as a jetpack to give you an extra boost when ghosts and objects target your feet.
Another great new feature is “Gooigi” which allows you to play as Luigi – but in Goo form. Gooigi is able to do things that human Luigi can’t do. You can instantly change between Luigi and Gooigi to utilize both of their skills. Gooigi can slip through metal fences and walk over metal spikes without being harmed, but watch out because water and Gooigi don’t mix. Another great feature of Gooigi is that you can pass a Joy Con controller to a friend and he can be used as a co-op partner. There is also the new “Scarescraper Mode” which will allow you and your friends to join forces housing up to 8 players for local or online gameplay. This mode will help you find missing Toads by defeating all the ghosts before time runs out.
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the sequel to Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon that’s developed by Next Level Games and published by Nintendo. It’s set to release on the Nintendo Switch on Halloween, October 31, 2019.
