THE GAME INFORMER WATCH LIST: TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION 2

Ubisoft's first Division was a bit of a slow burn. As most living, online cooperative games do, it stumbled a little out of the gate as it struggled to get its feet underneath it, but thanks to frequent updates and content additions, the post-apocalyptic third-person shooter was ultimately able to deliver a compelling experience.

Building off the success of the first game, The Division 2 moves to Washington D.C. which offers a visually distinct location filled with familiar landmarks, while also turning up the heat. The first Division took place in a snowy Manhattan, but The Division 2 offers a much sunnier and much warmer climate.

This is Rockstar's first dedicated game for the current generation of consoles and as a result, it looks stunning. The new lighting system lends the sunlight an impressive brightness, and the scenes that take place at night offer a stunning contrast with skies full of stars. The characters in the game also have an incredible level of detail in their faces and clothing. You can see every imperfection in the stitching on Morgan's hat.

Your goal in The Division 2 is to maintain order in the nation's capital as the United States continues to collapse around it. The game boasts a new cooperative campaign and the challenging Dark Zone from the first game has been reworked. Important elements from the first game like an emphasis on teamwork and a focus on loot return. With myriad gameplay tweaks and a new environment and campaign, The Division 2 is primed to deliver a unique cooperative experience.
