Deep of Night is an end-game challenge where the Nightlord and Shifting Earth remain hidden until battle begins, and enemies across Limveld grow stronger with random foes mutating into extreme threats. To survive, players can discover new weapon variants and enhancements—though many come with drawbacks like increased damage taken—and unlock three relic slots for exclusive Depths Relics, powerful rewards that also carry risks. Victory demands precise calculation and execution as Nightfarers face the game’s darkest depths, with the chance of confronting an Everdark Sovereign Nightlord.

Limveld, a fresh realm in ELDEN RING, brims with exciting new quests and challenges. Although the overall structure resembles that of Limgrave, each adventure offers a unique experience with varying loot, enemies, and bosses that change with every playthrough. Seize control of enemy strongholds to acquire essential gear, items, and runes. Face off against powerful enemies to unlock potent weapons and skills, increase your flask count at churches, and improve your equipment by collecting "Smithing Stones" found in tunnels.

Conquering formidable foes or named adversaries will yield a special reward known as "Dormant power." Every player has the opportunity to select one weapon or unique effect from a curated list of rewards available through "Dormant power." Tailor your choices to align with your character's strengths and preferred build for optimal results.

Equipping the "relics" acquired from missions grants your character access to their unique powers for future expeditions. Each relic offers up to three random effects, and characters can equip a maximum of three relics on their vessels. While some relics provide universal benefits, others are tailored to specific characters or abilities.

When your HP depletes completely, your character will fall into a critical state and ultimately perish after a brief duration. You have the opportunity to revive a teammate in this critical condition by launching an attack on them. However, if you frequently find yourself in this precarious state, the death gauge will rise, complicating future rescues. You can reset this gauge by visiting a Site of Grace.

As darkness descends upon Limveld, a formidable boss will rise to confront you. Conquer this mighty adversary to bring the night to a close and usher in a new dawn. Your initial expedition may prove daunting, yet strive to gather valuable experience throughout the day and vanquish the boss. Once you triumph over the second night, the path to the Nightlord will be unveiled.
