A GREAT Jurassic park Game... Not to many of them
I think this game is AMAZING. I love how they mixed it's events in with the movie. When I watched the movie after i played the game, i was really trying to think about where Jess and Dr. Harding were at.
( SPOILER ) T-Rex fights Triceratops.
BEST PART in the game!
I really enjoyed this game the story is great although the characters are a bit bland and are forgettable, perfect use of some of the dinosaur sounds, I would recommend this to anybody that is a big fan of the Jurassic Park franchise
The first jurassic park on a xbox360 it is good to be good
Jurrasic Park The Game, it's about time
Nice to see Telltale releasing this for the XBOX 360. They have been releasing their games as downloadable for a long time, for the Mac, PC and PS3. Finally decided to add XBOX 360. I just finished playing their Back to the Future game, and it was great. For those who don't know when this game takes place and what type of game this is, here is a brief explanation. This game takes place right as the first Jurrasic Park movie is ending,at same park as the original Jurrasic Park. The difference is that it is an entirely new story line with different cast of characters. Remember the nerdy guy, Dennis, who stole the embryo's. He was suppose to bring them to the dock to a boat to sell them. You know what happened, he never made it. Well, these new character work for the company that was purchasing the embryo's, or something like that. All I know is that they are there on the island to get embryo's for the company, or something like that.
This is not a shooter game, but you control the outcome, and people can die based on your decisions. Go check out Telltale's site for preview of the game. The graphics look great. Still not sure of the playability though. I might be a little easy, but these games you will like because of the story line and graphics. The game was delayed since last April, so they could release it on every game console and PC and Mac. Also they needed to iron out all the problems. I still think this is going to be a great game. I can't wait.

the game is great. dont get me wrong. a wonderful "jurassic park 1.5" movie gap bridge between the first and second. i couldnt have been happier with my purchase today....BUT if you are incredably careful to load on each screw up you make and pay careful attention to your surroundings you could get every single achievement ( save for the last two action based ones but thats just a matter of doing one thing and immediatly loading once you recieve your achievment) in a SINGLE playthrough. its great to play...ONCE..now if they had a movie mode where you could actually sit there and watch it like a movie. yeah ide say it has lasting appeal. but once you beat the game and you know what happens blahdy blahdy blah. youll get bored with playing it again very quickly. case in point GAME TO RENT. NOT TO OWN
This game is a pretty decent game. It starts at where Dennis Nedry dies and shows what exacly happened to the stolen embryos. Its a cynamatic game so there's no exploration. Each scene will have you do a quick point and click to stay alive and if your not fast enough, you could become dino food. Also each scene will rate you based on how well you did, you will either receive a gold, silver, or bronze meddle. The characters are great, you get a feel of love and hate for each character you meet. The graphics and acting is what pushed me to give this game a 6 out of 10. Starting with the graphics, now I know games arean't supposed to be about the graphics, but I wished Telltale did a better job, the Graphics look like a NES game. Acting is ok, they actors did a great job at it but sometimes it feels as if they don't know what they're doing. Lasting Appeal is ok, I would only return to the game just to play it again, or try to get a better score. Besides that, this is a great game for Jurrasic Park fans, I would reccomend to buy it.
its just a cinematic game were you control whats happening its a good game for what it is can be very challenging at points and the story over all is good especially if you are a fan of jurassic park since the game leaves off where the first movie did the story length is just rite over all a good game if you can get it cheap or rent it...also has 3 ranks for each "seen" bronze silver gold ...starting at gold and lowering as you make mistakes when what button to press pops on screen you most be fast and accurate or you "WILL" die
Going to be great
Jurassic Park the Game is going to answer some of my questions still lingering about the events that took place on Isla Nublar. The game takes place just after Dennis Nedry gets killed by a Dilophosaurus and continues parallel to the first move and beyond. It will be nice to know what happens to Isla Nublar, in the book they blow it up, but in the movie it is never mentioned completely. This version of the game is unique, it is the only platform that is seeing a disc based release (unlike the PS3 and PC which will receive 4 episodes via download exactly like Back to the Future). This disc will contain ALL 4 episodes each an hour or two long. So don't fear PS3 users it'll be available to you as well through the PSN :)
If you are a fan of the movies then you will love this representation. Maybe next time they'll make it open world.
This Dinosaur must have caught a cold
The world of video games have never been very good for the Jurassic Park series except for the rare few (like operation genesis) But Jurassic Park the Game is not one of those. Almost every category holds this game back. The Graphics seem to be as old as the movie is with no real detail and horrible character animations. The voice track is great but with the lack of background noise or a balance of the both leaves you with an empty feeling. For playability, Most of the game functions like an interactive movie thanks to quick-time events which can be good or bad depending on what you hope the experience would be like. The puzzles won’t hold anyone back from reaching the credits, but the tired, deja-vu pacing might. I really wish i could have given this game a higher score, and you can tell that Telltale games loves the series, but graphics, gameplay, sound and all hold this game back from roaring like a true T-REX. (the game could have played better i believe if they gotten rid of a lot of the puzzle events and letting you BE the person. And an interactive achievement/tasks list might have helped, and with more surprises and action.)
