Rated 10 out of 10 by Koncept Wasnt Expecting This Level of Entertainment
Alright, let's start off by saying, i've played every Punch Out so far. THe Original, Super Punch Out, and now this one. And let me say, I did not expect it to be that good. In the old ones, every character (Except Glass Joe -_-) Had a certain puzzle quality to figure out. I didnt think theyd keep that but they did! And it makes just about every fight more and more interesting. Once you think you have the fight in the bag, BAM!! Theres a new move the oppenent has for you to figure out how to take advantage of. Overall I give the new Punch-Out a 10 out of 10. The gameplay is fast and exciting, you have to be able to think and fight at the same time, and the characters have close to the same traits that they had in the others. And this game is pure entertainment and fun. But i will warn you, if you are'nt patient enough to find the weaknesses of whoever your fighting, it will be difficult for you to play. However, if you can get past that, you'll love this game!

Hi, my name is Levi, And I think punch out is a great game for kids 9-13 and maybe some others might enjoy too! Any boxing fan would honor this game. All the way from Glass joe all the way to Mr. Sandman, You will have disco dancin, Bear Huggin, Soda Drinkin, Fun!! 2 player action is great with a friend, and you will duel for a rematch!! Even if you don't like boxing this might be at your christmas list. It Starts off with Mac, a 17 year old who makes his way through the ring, taking down circuts. You may get the title! If you do you go through everyone else but they are really hard! When you finally win that, you go into Macs Last Stand where if you lose 3 times you go into retirement :( . But if you make it through 10 fights you go into champ mode and when you win that you win the game!!! I am on Bald Bull title defense and it is hard! Enjoy the Exibition Mode too where you can fight defeated boxers. It is Great! For all the kids out there who want a good game for the wii, put this on your wish list and hope next they will make a sequal!!
Rated 10 out of 10 by Roderick J. Songalia A sequel to a classic game!!
I played the original NES game and this bring back the exciting action of Punch Out, except in a modernized version. I played the demo version and there is real excellent gameplay, graphics, sound and play control. Having played the original game, finally an excellent sequel to a classic. Anyone who wants a challenge and a game with excellent gameplay should get this game. Anyone who has played the original NEW game will be excited to battle well-known characters such as King Hippo, Von Kaiser, Glass Joe and others. The storyline for the Wii version has improved from the original NES version and allows the player to relate to the storyline and gameplay. Anyone of any age will enjoy playing this game and allows excellent strategy and is an excellent source of exercise. Even though more than 10 years has passed, it is an excellent sequel and would recommend this game to anyone.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Ultimate Phillies Fan One of the best Wii games around
Punch-Out is probably one of the best Wii games you can get right now. This is an excellent remake of a great classic. The controls are unique and responsive, you use the wiimote and nunchuck to punch, and defend, but the game kept the old NES controls as well. The graphics are great, the game looks signifigantly better than the last installment 15 years ago. The story is simple, but somehow it's engaging. However, the part that I feel makes Punch-Out a great game is the characters. They have so much personality, and are a bit stereotypical. Some of them are also pretty intimidating, seeing King Hippo and Mr. Sandman the first time made me wonder how I was suppose to beat them. Once your finished the game, you have to defend your title, and the fight the whole roster again, and they become smarter and behave differently, so it's way tougher the second time around.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Carfanatic Great update for a classic
It has been a long time since I even thought about the fun my friends and I had playing this game back when the original first came out. This new game brings back the great memories and adds so much to the game with the new controls and characters. Though this is more of a remake than a new game it should still be very fun for even new players and people that never played the originals. Even though "sports" games are not my favorite genre of games this is not a normal sports game with the controls and how you can even add the wii balance board and integrate that into game play it really makes it a totally different experience. I would recommend this for anyone of any age. It is of course not exercise in the least but I know a lot of kids are pretty sedimentary because of video games this at least gives them some reason to get up and move around a little.
Rated 10 out of 10 by Kpats12345 "Ding Ding" Punch-Out!!
Little Mac is back, but instead of fighting the Impossible Mr. Dream and Mike Tyson he's going against The Sandman and....Donkey Kong? This game is great and a complete classic. I just beat Mike Tyson's Punch-Out for the NES and when I saw the trailer for this I had to try it. It works, the motion controls work with it, though the Wii Fit Board isnt as good as I expected. Still the game is fun and will make you and your kids enjoy the fun. After you beat the game, you have to defend your title, which is very hard! I kinda gave up after fighting the Bear Hugger for the second time. Multiplayer is kinda fun, but when Mac turns into Mega Mac your opponet or yourself has the most advantage.Still, if you're looking for a fun boxing game on the Wii that works Punch-Out is the one to go for.
Rated 9 out of 10 by ekelly better than original
Just got this game yesterday and if you liked the original, you will love it....more characters and better graphics plus you can play against a friend ...which you couldn't do in the original....the only thing that I didn't like is the boxer introductions.....there is none...only a still shots of the boxer ...overall the game is about a 9 which is pretty good for the Wii...the controls give you some options...which is great...you can use the balance board that comes with Wii fit...or use the classic Ninetendo controller..if you choose to use the Wii controller just turn it sideways and you can use it like the classic Ninetendo controller with the directional pad and two button format....it's a shame they couldn't get Mike Tyson in this game , would have made it better but overall a definite game to buy
Rated 10 out of 10 by Whit3Ninja Amazing game!
Ok I havent really played this game yet but from looking at people that have, I see that this is an amazing game. There are all the old characters there that we have learned to love and some new ones. When I say some I mean Disco Kid and DK. There are rumors that other characters are also in the game so we have to wait and see. I overall think this game is amazing. I only think they should let you play with different characters and not just little mac. but other than that this game looks awesome. And by the way Piston Hondo is the coolest! there is even a mode where you fight people and there weaknesses are covered. Like King Hippo has his belly covered by a pan - like thing. This game is so awesome that it is the first time a game ran out of room on the wii disc. Get this game now!
Rated 8 out of 10 by greysun123 Its PRETTY GOOD!
Punch out is a great game for anybody to play. Controls are easy to pick up and learn fast. Its a fun game for 2 players also. It also uses the wii balance board to move left and right in fights, it works pretty well, but i prefered to use the wii remote to dodge. There are new characters to fight with too. But they still had the classics like glass joe, king hippo, etc. The game can make me kinda frustrated at times, but in a good way. Once you get closer to the end of the game, the fighters get tougher and harder to beat. But once you keep trying to beat them , you will beat them eventually. The sound was not that good to me... The songs were always the same for every fight , and was repetitive. The graphics were awesome for the nintendo wii. But overall This game is pretty awesome!!
Rated 9 out of 10 by Jay211 Brings Back Great Memories
I loved the original M. Tyson Punch out and this game is a great modern version of that game. The controls take a little getting use to but if you don't want to bother with that you can just flip the Wii mote and play it the old school way. The characters all are fun to fight it's a lil cheesy at times but overall just a fun game nothing to fancy graphics are decent but I like that fact it stays true to it's roots. Some of the first few fights are really easy I flew though Glass Joe and a few other but now the game seems to be getting hard. Load time is pretty good and I think it has somewhat of a high replay value it's fun for everyone and has a good mix of modes you can play. Only wish it had the ability to fight online but nonetheless still a great game. Thanks Nintendo.
