by Sacc This Game Is a Must Buy!!
The game is overall good i like how in battle you have a chance to use your skill or powers to help aid you and the weapon set is awesome there sre countless weapons to choose from and use also can customize your skill, character or weapons. Its not like most shooter games where they give u ur character u get to pick between 4 and they all have their roles to play and advantages in battle. and if u like gore ur gonna love this game because the blood and gore is insane people go crazy on this game (for example you mite b in battle while, out of nowhere someone runs up to you and there on fire so they explode and theres blood and body pieces everywhere) this game is a very great game with animals that have mouths that open up in 3's and flying creatures with large claws and people who shoot u with anything they have avaliable including arrows made up of bones with bloood on it....im tellin ya u'll luv this game...ITS UNLIKE ANY OTHER!!!

by OxfordB Loads of Fun !!
I love this game and can not put it down. For three years I have played it and still choose it over my newer games. One of the best story lines ever and the villains are so fun to kill. You wont be sorry you buy this game.
Rated 9 out of 10 by ShadowSlay Great RPG, good story, but a few set backs
This game is great for having a few friends over, and playing hours on end. It is a great game with a good solid story line. For a game of its type it is very believable. Good variety of builds available for you character as well as countless guns such as rocket shooting shot guns. However with any game there is a few glaring problems that show throughout the game. At many points in the game you get quests to go reassemble weapons. These quests take hours of time if you don't use Google (and me being a true gamer i refuse to). And after all that work what do you get? Simple a gun that is best sold for very little cash. In addition to this is some rather annoying glitches I have lost 3 characters they just vanished no trace on my memory drive. Although i felt the ending left a sense of injustice, I can forgive that for the amount of hours of fun i got out of it. But over all a great game and i would recommend this to all my friends and even those I don't like.

First, I am an older female and this is my first shooter, but will not be my last! I am now a very competent Sniper. I have a message for any female hesitating to try shooter games - try it and the release of stress is amazing!!!!! I play Co-op with my best friend, we just finished the main game and I am ready for more. This game is perfect to introduce anyone to a Shooter Game. I just wish there were more games out there like this with this same quality. The controls are easy to use and mostly logical, the music is Really Good, the camera is pretty agreeable compared to most games I have played, and even though it costs money when you die, it is not totally dibilitating to your character, and upgrades are abundant. Vending machines are everywhere for supplies and you can find some pretty fancy weapons including my favorites rocket launchers and sniper rifles. I already have a deposit on Borderlands 2, since I have a feeling it is going to be a sellout. I also would like to thank the developers and programmers for a delightfully fun game that is expertly executed - BRAVO!!

This game is really a great experience, it has many things that i liked about it. One of the things that i loved is the amazing graphics this game has, it is by no means trying to look like it is the most real looking game out there. But what it does it it makes it look like you are playing in some sort of comic book. And the story is really great to. It lets you go off on your own and it lets you decide how you are going to rank up. But that brings me to the one thing that i do not really like too much about this game. The way that you rank up is that you have to chose everything yourself, and even thoug that seems like a good idea it makes some parts nest to impossible to get past. I had gotten about 3 hours into the game then i had came to a part that i could nmot get past so i had no choice but to start over, this happened a few time but the other ties i stayed cool and figured out how to get past them with what i got. But this is definatly not a deal breaker for buying this game, because it is so creative and really an all aroun great game. Just be careful how you level up.
Rated 9 out of 10 by TrophyMonsters A nice break from the COD world we live in.
Let's face the facts. Whether you like it or not, we are a COD generation. A friend of mine suggested this game and I was skeptical. Being released in 2009 and currently being 2012, I thought it was too outdated. Also, from videos I checked out on youtube, it had a cell shaded feel to it, which I'm not a huge fan of. But with the price of $30 I figured I'd give it the chance. I'm extremely glad I did. It's cartoon-ish graphics and unique gameplay are a very nice change from COD. There are a plethora of weapons to choose from, tons of missions, and all the loot you could dream of. In my eyes the best aspect of the game and many other games, is the ability to play co-op online. Having a buddy to kill with always makes things more enjoyable. All in all, the game has kept my attention and made me wanting more. If you're on the fence, give it a shot. It was awarded game of the year for a reason.
Rated 9 out of 10 by JoeyKangaroo Very fun, even if you play solo
I was hesitant to get this game because most people praised it for co-op and others said playing by yourself isn't as fun. Well in the end playing by yourself can be very fun.
I just got this game recently and I have played for about 3 hours and I'm already level 10. This game is very fun. You can become one of four different classes. I picked the class good with the pistols and sniper rifles. Boy, this game is a real blast! The art style of this game fits the atmosphere perfectly. This game will make you laugh. I have a blast playing, it's a mix of Fallout and any first person shooter and on top of that, there are thousands of guns to choose from. You'll find yourself exploring everywhere to find some good loot. My only complaint is frame rate issues, but that only starts to happen if you've been playing for an hour. In the end this game is very fun solo and you must buy it.

I don't even know where to begin with this game. The deal is one you cannot afford to pass up. Hours upon hours UPON hours of play time. Due to the game itself and then all the DLC that comes along with it. I have had a couple people make some negative remarks about the graphics, but i appreciate the originality and turn away from a realistic perspective. Though the campaign may be the same with all four class types that doesnt mean you cannot go through with each one and learn to harness their individual powers and expose them for their strengths. The array of guns you can find is near endless and the challenges that arise allow you to use each type. Above all this is one of the best RPG games on the market, and if you enjoy something that you can't fly through in a day or two then this is right up your ally. FRS RPG game that sets the bar for others to come.
Rated 8 out of 10 by NorthPole Good RPG/FPS
Choose from 4 different characters, each with their own activated ability and three distinct skill specialization trees. Unfortunately, some of the specs aren't even a little bit competitive. Because of the number of variables for each weapon (damage, fire rate, reload speed, accuracy, elemental damage, etc.) every gun you pick up has its own feel. The number of playstyles available makes the game more tactical and dynamic than most shooters. The landscape provides vantage points and cover, but unfortunately rare opportunity to utilize these elements. The critical hit system, a familiar game aspect for RPG players, takes on an interesting implementation in Borderlands, where each species that you battle has its own distinct crit-zone (the head on humans, for example) which, when hit, increases damage substantially. The soundtrack and effects aren't worth mentioning one way or the other. The graphics are very uniquely stylized with a modern comic feel. It makes the level of gore a bit more accessible, and is part of what makes the game so memorable. Varying classes and the fun of blowing people up help replay value, but the lack of variation in the story makes it not unlike playing Diablo over and over as different classes.

I'm a big fan of FPS going back to the original Wolfenstein. Based on reviews online I really looked forward to playing this game. I traded in a bunch of my old games at gamestop and bought the GOTY edition new. I had a great time for about the first hour or two playing the game then I became inexplicably nauseated. I walked away and after about an hour felt better. I started playing again but within 20-30 minutes again I started feeling ill; nauseated. I walked away for a couple of days and played again...same thing. I have just researched this online and apparently I am not alone. many people report this phenomenon. What a shame. I will have to trade it in virtually unused at a loss for something else. Maybe I'll try Dead Rising 2.
