This game is perfect for: casual gamers

So when I saw it laying around when it first come out it looked very unappealing and a waste of time. I just refused to touch it and moved on. Over at my friends house he made me play split screen co-op and let me just say I bought the GOTY edition the next day! The game has a very captivating story line with a mysterious person aiding you along the way via hologram type communication. The comic book style art was very nice. The characterization was great as well. Plenty of weapons to satisfy anyone. Not a single flaw other than I could walk through the CL4P-TRP. Overall: I plan on pre-ordering Borderlands 2 as soon as I get the money.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

Let's face the facts. Whether you like it or not, we are a COD generation. A friend of mine suggested this game and I was skeptical. Being released in 2009 and currently being 2012, I thought it was too outdated. Also, from videos I checked out on youtube, it had a cell shaded feel to it, which I'm not a huge fan of. But with the price of $30 I figured I'd give it the chance. I'm extremely glad I did. It's cartoon-ish graphics and unique gameplay are a very nice change from COD. There are a plethora of weapons to choose from, tons of missions, and all the loot you could dream of. In my eyes the best aspect of the game and many other games, is the ability to play co-op online. Having a buddy to kill with always makes things more enjoyable. All in all, the game has kept my attention and made me wanting more. If you're on the fence, give it a shot. It was awarded game of the year for a reason.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

First, I am an older female and this is my first shooter, but will not be my last! I am now a very competent Sniper. I have a message for any female hesitating to try shooter games - try it and the release of stress is amazing!!!!! I play Co-op with my best friend, we just finished the main game and I am ready for more. This game is perfect to introduce anyone to a Shooter Game. I just wish there were more games out there like this with this same quality. The controls are easy to use and mostly logical, the music is Really Good, the camera is pretty agreeable compared to most games I have played, and even though it costs money when you die, it is not totally dibilitating to your character, and upgrades are abundant. Vending machines are everywhere for supplies and you can find some pretty fancy weapons including my favorites rocket launchers and sniper rifles. I already have a deposit on Borderlands 2, since I have a feeling it is going to be a sellout. I also would like to thank the developers and programmers for a delightfully fun game that is expertly executed - BRAVO!!

This game is amazing, I have it for my PC, My 360, and my PS3. The gameplay is simply unbelievable, this is easily one of my favorite buys. This is completely reccomended. With the GOY Edition, you save 20 bucks on DLC's and stuff like that. BUY IT, I TELL YOU, BUY IT!

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers

First of all let's get this straight. I ABSOLUETLY loved Borderlands! When I first popped in this game and started slaughtering hordes of bandits, it was a thing of beauty. But when you spend hours upon HOURS playing this game, it starts to become VERY repetitive. All of your objectives are stactic, and what I mean by that is that none of your objectives ever change, meaning that there aren't any twists, nor is there any way to screw it up. I'll admit that there were times when I was getting bored, but then managed to get that certain gun I was looking for (there are A LOT that you will probably sell), which REALLY fueled my thirst for more dead bandits. The extra DLCs do give the game a bit more of a flare, but they don't vary TOO much and some of the side quests are EXTREMELY tedious, such as collecting 50 brains, then 100 brains, then 150 brains, then 200 brains, then 250 brains!!!. I enjoyed playing Mad Moxxi's Underdome (A gladiatator type arena challenge), Clatrap's New Robot Revolution, and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, but I didn't care much for The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. I'm not at all implying that I don't like zombie killing franchises, It just didn't seem fun to me. (For the record I only just beat Borderlands a week ago). I'm really excited to hear that a Borderlands 2 is being developed and cant' wait to get my hands on it. Borderlands was an excellent thriller and I can't wait to see what new surprises await us when we return to Pandora. (Bear in mind I played Borderlands two years after its release, on my own with no help)

This game is perfect for: casual gamers

The search for the best guns and loot is the most addictive part of this game. While you are just an errand boy most of the game, the missions do reward you with more guns and loot. I would like to see a way to customize weapons by tearing apart the weapons you have in your inventory in the sequel but that might be wishful thinking. The NPC characters are hilarious and varied. The DLC really makes this game great. Can't wait for Borderlands 2.

This is the best game in the world! There is over 87 bazillion gun. It even says that on the back of the cover. Its funny, lots of action, and you can play for hours and not be bored. Overall great game. Borderlands 2 is comeing out sometime next year so you need to get this one to understand it better. So get this as soon as possible. I dont know anyone who doesnt like it.

everyone is saying that the graphics are cartoony and I would agree but then again i couldn't see this game in anyother style of graphic, i would say that it looks like a comic book that you get to play! and over all best game i have ever played. a game that you can play over and over again.And this game brought back a dying breed, the couch co-op!, finaly a faint shimmer at the end of the tunnle for games!
