Product Description

Welcome to Neighborville, where all is well. Except that a crazy new coniferous conflict between brain-less and botanicals is brewing! What are you gonna do – call the crops? Soil your plants? Prepare to kick some grass in a plant-on-zombie conflict that will take you to the outer edges of Neighborville and back again. In Valenbrainz, roses are red, violets are blue, the zombies are giving your brain a chew. Celebrate Valenbrainz in style as you tour Giddy Park, decked out in lovey-dovey decor. In February, you’ll get to play a new Turf Takeover map and score a legendary upgrade. In March, forget gold at the end of the rainbow – we’re giving you Wizard Zombie at the end of the Prize Map! Play the Luck o’ the Zombie Prize Map and take a single path to the end to earn Wizard Zombie! Plus, pick up the Rare Citron 5000 costume at the mid-way point and the Legendary Wishbreaker costume for Wizard when you reach 100% completion. It’s time to shamrock n’ roll your way to Wizard’s spellbinding blasts, so jump in and play now before your luck runs out!
  • Customize Every Character for Battle: Join the newest bloom in the age-old battle between plants and zombies with 20 fully customizable classes at launch, including a Team Play class for each faction. Bring the unique abilities of each character class to six PvP modes, including the new Battle Arena, and experience the unbeleafable thrills of combat.
  • Venture to the Outer Edges of Neighborville: The tension across the terra has expanded with three free-roam regions and one PvE mode that extend beyond the town of Neighborville. Squad up with up to three friends in the Giddy Park social region and take back Weirding Woods, Mount Steep, and Neighborville Town Centre. It’s grow time!
  • Play with Your Favorite People, in Every Mode: Join forces with other players to experience split-screen couch co-op* in every mode. Connect with up to three players and battle through flourishing free-roam regions or jump into the fray with up to 24 players in online multiplayer across a gigantic suburban skirmish.

* SPLIT SCREEN COUCH-OP ONLY AVAILABLE ON PS4/XBOX ONE.

Features for Valenbrainz:

  • New Turf Takeover Map – Get your plants ready for some much-needed rest and relaxation (and hardcore zombie battles) in our new Turf Takeover map, Preserve Pastures. Head on down to this idyllic farm setting for a little massage or seaweed body wrap, and defend the plants-only spa from some jealous, facial-fiending Gargantuars.
  • Legendary Upgrade – This feature pairs a themed upgrade with a Legendary costume to add an all-new layer of strategy for your character. From February 3 – March 1, work your way through the Valenbrainz Prize Map to earn the Shogun-Guard upgrade and Foodal Lord Dracornius costume for Kernel Corn. After you earn both items, use them individually to change up your look and how you play. Or, combine them to unleash your legendary upgrade – a personal shield for battle! On March 2 the upgrade will be available for purchase in Rux’s Emporium.
  • New Character – The Wizard Zombie is a recent addition to the horde, having been uncovered only recently during Zomboss HQ renovations. In digging out space for yet another room of buff-looking Dr. Zomboss statues, an ancient room of half-eaten picture books was discovered, along with the Wizard. Play the Luck o’ the Zombie Prize Map and take a single path to the end to earn Wizard Zombie in March! After March 31st, unlock Wizard with 500K coins.

Q: Should I get two copies and play co-op through xbox live with my son on his xbox and I play on my xbox? Or is the split screen good enough? Is it basically the same thing just split screen or co-op through xbox live?

Very fun, but can get a little glitchy at times. There are adventures separate from the multiplayer fighting that are actually pretty fun. I definitely recommend this game.

Horrible

This game was so disappointing because the games that came before it were amazing. The graphics are bright but the old ones seem better. The game does not have character variants which was the most disappointing thing. The tasks in neighborliness are tedious and its not worth the reward. I stopped playing in the first month because of the frustration and disappointment.

This should have been a mobile game, or DLC for PVZGW2 at best. Save your money or put the $20 towards a pre-order of PVZGW3

Very much like Plants vs Zombies 2 but has some new added characters and new locations. The game is fun to play and enjoyable. There are more missions and task to complete and enjoy playing with my son. You can switch either side easily and it is easy to have second player join in,
