Innovation Across The Entire Pitch
Confidence in Defending
Defensive Agility – A new suite of 25 feature changes to defensive locomotion creates agile defenders that track attacking opponents.
Defend as a Unit – New defensive AI gives players better awareness of dangerous space on the pitch relative to the ball and their opponents.
New Tackling Fundamentals – A brand new slide tackle system gives you control of slide length and offers a chance to abort mid-tackle and get back in position. There is now huge variety available in tackling options, such as Fake Tackles, In Air Standing Tackles, and Full Body Tackles.
Control in Midfield
Interception Intelligence - Rewritten for FIFA 16, Interception Intelligence can be adjusted in Custom Tactics so you can control how aggressive your teammates are on the ball. You are in complete control of build-up play in midfield.
Passing With Purpose – FIFA 16 introduces a revolution in passing. Now play sharp, incisive passes so you can find teammates with precision. Using a new button mechanic, ping driven ground passes to find teammates in tight spaces to open up your attacking options.
Moments of Magic
No Touch Dribbling – Lionel Messi was motion captured to create an innovative dribble control system that gives players the freedom to decide not just how, but when to touch the ball. This completely revolutionizes 1v1 scenarios and gives players more opportunities in attack than ever before.
Dynamic Crossing – Crossing in FIFA 16 changes the way both the crosser and their receiving teammate approach the ball. New cross targeting means your strikers will meet the ball on the run and put defenses in difficult situations as more balls are played behind the back line.
Clinical Finishing – Clinical Finishing gives players a new understanding of where to strike the ball so you can finish like a pro. Newly defined orientation of the foot and ankle gives players more variety in shooting, making for exciting goals.

The worst Fifa to dateI have over 300 games played in this fifa, and am a seasoned plaher. I don't think I have ever played a fifa where I was frustrated to actually win a game. The defensive AI is overpowered, passing is worthless, the referees are HORRIBLY inconsistent and will call a foul for laying a finger on someone or won't call a foul for taking out someone from behind with no attempt at the ball. Pace hardly means anything with a slow center back being able to catch up to Aubameyang. Playing offline is never any fun as the computer will keep possession >70% of the time and pass around the back. I am constantly asking myself "Why would you pass it there?" Or "What kind of first touch was that?" This game simply is not fun to play. As bad as Fifa 15's pace abuse was that game was still playable and and could have its fun moments. This game has none. Don't feed the EA machine that processes and a barely improved broken game every year. Stay away from this game.

How could they mess up FIFA?I've played many different FIFA games and this one is by far the worst. The gameplay is aweful compared to all other FIFA games including FIFA 06. The terrible ref decisions and inaccurate physics leave you mind blown when penalties are called for clean tackles. The worst part of the game though is the passing. The passing is impossible to control sending balls straight to defenders or out of bounds. The weight must be perfect or it is easily intercepted. The CPU difficulties are way different as well. You select "professional" thinking you want a challenge and you end up playing against legendary. Overall, the game is poor with major flaws that need to fixed (and don't even get me started on the defending).

Great GameLots of improvements. You can't just run past the other team any more. You actually have to know how to play the game.

Worst Fifa yetA lot of people who are bad at games come and write reviews saying the game is awful and say do not play it. This review is not that case. I am actually pretty good at fifa 16 with a 6:1 win loss ratio. I have played over 200 games and played almost every game mode so I am going to give an educated review. EA has completely changed how the game is played. Pace is no longer an issue at all. Every player has the same pace. Mertesacker will catch up to Ronaldo in a straight sprint. Passing is also considerably harder, but not in a good way. It is actually a challenge to string together 3-4 passes. Defensive AI has been turned way up which has caused interceptions to be incredibly common. The AI on your attackers has been turned way down so they are so slow to react to passes which only increases the amount of missed passes. Also if your player is passing with their off foot or is not facing the player who you are trying to pass to, good chance it will go no where near where you want it to. I have tried to pass it across my back line numerous times on to have the ball somehow drilled about 5 feet high into my opponent's striker. This makes the game incredibly frustrating because user mistakes happen basically every game. Simple passes that any professional or even amateur can make do not work. The game has become extremely predictable. There is only one playing style in this game because headers, pace, and build up play do not work. Every opponent you play will have high pressure and try to pin you into your half and it works because EA still has yet to fix the stamina system. Career mode is also a complete joke. The computer will always have 60-70% possession no matter who you play. The computer is always content to pass it around the back to keep possession instead of trying to attack. Also the change in passing has not effected the computer at all. Their players will always have 90%+ passing success no matter who they are using. Off balance, goal keepers, and weak foot passes for the computer means nothing. It has made career mode into one big game of tag where you chase for a huge portion of each match. Overall this game is terrible. It is very buggy and glitchy. Goal keepers make ridiculous reaction saves, but then let in easily catchable long shots. Penalties are so abundant in this game that is makes you terrified to tackle. EA also introduced a new system that allows the computer to foul a player off the ball so even if you're defending well, the computer could be bumping and pushing a player on the other side of the box and giving away a penalty. I am honestly considering trading this game in. It just is not fun. It's so stressful and it does not reward the better player. Avoid this fifa. I heard PES was pretty good this year so I probably will trade this in for that.
