Yes, you need an XBox live account, which you should have since you have an XBox (you got a basic level account when you got your Gamertag) The games you download can be played as long as your Game Pass Account is active, though any games you buy while a part of Game Pass are yours and can be played even if your Game Pass Account expires.
As long as you have an active XBOX Live account and the internet, you should be able to use the card. My husband has been using Live since about 2004 and with the last 5 or so years, Xbox has made it so that you can no longer even access your previously purchased content or play games purchased in disc-form without internet access or an active XBox Live account. This change has not been well received by us as it forces the consumer to continue subscriptions just to access content that was purchased before the changes were implemented.
The digital code for this product should be redeemed in the United States. We recommend purchasing this service in the country in which it will be used.
Thanks for asking! Here are the steps to redeeming your code on Windows 10 PC: 1. Sign into your PC (make sure you’re signed in with the Microsoft account you want to redeem the code with). 2. Press the Start button, type store, then select Microsoft Store. 3. Select More … > Redeem a code. 4. Enter the 25-character code, then follow the prompts. Don’t worry about hyphens, the system takes care of those for you.
Thanks for your question! The 3-month digital codes for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate do not expire. They can also be "stacked" for up to 36 months of membership at once.
