An underrated game.

Oblivion was a game that I haven't played until recently. When I did play it, ir was such an amazing game, I'm surprised that more people don't enjoy it. Sure, the voice acting is mediocre at best, and the gameplay can get repetitive, but overall, it is an amazing game.

The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion is one of my favorite games of all time. If you like action and adventure games like Baulder's gate, then you should try this game. It brings so much content to the table that I promise hours upon hours of gameplay. You can be a mage that summons creatures from the oblivion plains or a warrior that strikes down your foes. The graphics aren't as good as some of our current games, but the lasting appeal is what matters. You can play for days on end, and never get bored. Oblivion has pretty good sound, and its gameplay will have you head over heels. Like I said, if you are an action/adventure player than I highly suggest that you try Oblivion, and if you loved Oblivion then buy Skyrim. Happy gaming.

this game is one of the best RPG's ever. Its gameplay and graphics are okay but everything else. Every time i put the game in my xbox 360, i just want to explore everything and just loot a lot of objects . all locations have different views and a story behind it and you need to go to a different location to even know about it. The gameplay is a little bit stiff and once or twice unfair but it is tolerable and is good. The graphics are alright but sometimes does take time for the animations to kick in and the land to load if you look off into the distance but you can live with that. the lasting appeal is high just because for me is because of the types of styles to play such as a thief (which i am) and the knight, mage and other things. the music depends on your actions. like if you are going into a fight, the music will turn into epic medieval battle and most of the time you hear the same music but for me it never gets old and it fits the exploration mood. Overall, this is one of the best RPG games i have ever played. BUY IT

I accidentally scratched my old disk beyond repair. This game will forever and always be one of the best early RPGs.

A lot of people on here complain about the graphics.. but you do realize this game was released in 2006 ? Compared to other games from the early 2000s, this one is great! The building designs are well made, the cities look great - it's just the goofy looking Khajiit's and Orcs that's a let down, for me personally anyways. The movement controls made me feel sick, it does take some time to get used to. I prefer the Skyrim layout in terms of the item menus and whatnot, the Oblivion items layout is irritating to me. Oblivion occasionally requires you to do more exploring rather than telling you exactly where to go every single time, like Skyrim does. I, like a lot of others it seems, played Skyrim first before any of the other ES games - so I decided to try Oblivion out after hearing such good things about it. Overall, the story line and quests aren't terrible, and the guilds are nice - if you decide to join any/all of them. It has the same vibe as Fall Out, to me, in terms of the way you choose your perks/skills and how you decide to level them up - I like having that ability in order to change how the other NPCs interact and speak with you. Not the biggest fan on their lockpick system, and I wish they could've figured a way to display more of the world without it constantly pausing to "load the area". Not having the ability to sprint is a little disappointing as well.. but it's not serious enough to want to stop playing the game because of that.
