Being my introduction to UFC, this game was a title I picked up with 2 intentions. For one, I wanted to get into UFC. Also, I wanted a game that was a far cry from other titles in my catalog. Fast forward to the present day, and am I satisfied with the game, years and years later? Absolutely. I just picked it up again a couple days ago to relive the fun. The graphics are solid, the fighter's look and move like their real life counterparts. The career mode is excellent, the commentary is above average for a sports title in-between the 6th and 7th gens. The presentation does a great job to mimic the real thing. In short, a game I will never grow tired of.

Very good, like the ultimate UFC Title

This game is VERY VERY GOOD I don't mind the fact that it could be buggy in certain situations I love this game for what it is. I love the menu design and the Hardcore gameplay style this game is way to good for $5 so its WAY worth the money. The career offers you intense gameplay to the point you really feel for your created fighter. Also in a way that it makes you live the UFC expirience. I for one EXTREMELY Suggest you buy this game!!! I promise you will not be dissapointed. :)

Yesterday my friend and I went to gamestop just to look around but my friend pointed out UFC 2009. He thought we should get it but it looked boring but once you get into the game it is the best. Create a fighter is the best you have control of everything from there skills to there trunks. Best fighting game ever

Fun despite annoying problems
The good; graphics, fighter customization. The bad; loading/saving waits, inability to turn off autosave, knockouts come almost effortlessly but submissions are equally difficult until your fighter has near maximum strength, career mode seems short. Not a major problem, but going back to fighter customization I have to wonder why they couldn't give a list of names to choose from that could be spoken in the game as you find in the Fight Night games, rather than a few corny nicknames. Only reason I'd recommend this game to a friend is that it's $5 now. Hopefully they fixed some of these things in the sequels.

A nice foundatioon
This game was built on a nice foundation for a series. Enjoyable game play, room for improvement and the great UFC roster. The 2 faults in this game are the ability to create a tall fighter and simply head kick your way into the UFC Hall Of Fame. And the inability for a casual player to really train their ground game or get a submission. The submission controls need simplifying for casual gamers and those who those want to break their thumb sticks. But it's aces compared to the flopping stinker that was UFC Undisputed 2010. We can only hope that UFC 3 builds on the original and borrows from the more intuitive EA Sports MMA. So we get a game martial artists can love as well as gamers.

Ufc 2009 is a good game but really didnt care for career mode I just mainly played exhibition but kinda gets old after awhile but I haven't played 2010 cause I will wait for there Ufc 3 game .Mainly this game is fun if you just wanna beat the tar out of someone and see there face bleed cause I just jab them till they bleed and then knock them out. I hope Ufc 3 has a better career mode.
