Absolute joy to playAs a "Trekkie" i couldnt NOT have this game. Its older and the graphics arent spectacular but god its such a fun game. Only gamestop store in all of Idaho that had this game was the one on Milwaukee rd in Boise. Sure i could have ordered it online but then id have to wait to play it...who wants to do that lol. Definitely suggest this game for star trek fans.

Good battle system. It has a good battle system and the stories told are okay. But it can get repetitive. If however you need a good space combat sim and are a star trek fan, it's a pretty solid pick.

Well......as a Star Trek fan, I can safely say this was the biggest dissapointment I've ever had to experience. The sound quality is really good, but everything else about this is mediocre. The starships move too slow and warp speed isn't even fast enough to help that. The shooting controls are the all-time worst I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. The story is actually good, but could be better. The graphics are early Nintendo 64 and I mean 1996. Yeah, they are that bad. Not that I don't like N64, but this is two console generations later. Don't waste time on this game, regardless of how devoted of a fan you may be.

Looks good, sounds good, plays poorly.I wish someone licensed to release a startrek game actually put an effort into the gameplay. The ships look very detailed, even plasma leaks, and combat damage look super.Firing phasers and torpedos sound and looks great.Command issues, piloting your vessel, or activating a scan or special order is like waiting in line at a DMV.You just hope you eventually get the job done, without going through alot of BS.If bethesda actually cared about the trek fans they would amend this with updates through X-box live.Or even create downloadable add-ons, Id like to see dominion, cardassian, and xindi campaigns too.I would recommend it to trek fans, but I might be thanked, or despised for doing so.Adding original actor voices from each generation of the show to the gameplay, also helped ease agonizing gameplay.

Great for trekkies to explore the final frontierStar Trek Legacy is good in some ways. The GAME PLAY is great for trekkies that the battles feel like you are watching the shows and the movies. You get to have four ships to play as and you can play from The Orginal Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, Voyager, and Enterprise and you play as the Federation, Romulans, Kligeons, and the Borg. There are over 80 ships from all three eras and five shows. The Single player mode is good and it is hard. You have three difficulties: Ensign (Easy), Captain (Medium), and Admiral (Hard). You start from the Enterprise Era and you play as Captain Jonathan Archer, than The Original Series Era and you play as Captain James T. Kirk, and The Next Generation Era where you play as Captain Jean-Luc Picard. each Era has five levels which makes it 15 levels total. You have to stop a vulcan name Tu'rell in all three eras. You lock on an enemy and you fire using phaser and missles. The game could've been more better if they had interacive cutscenes like the characters talking in person and more story and dialogue like the TV shows and films. A variety of ships from all five shows and all 10 films for all four races such as the enterprise,USS voyager, Bird of prey, USS Excelsior, USS Defiant, USS Enterprise D and E, Borg cubes, and more .There is also online. In the main menu there will be four comic presentations involving T'urell's plans. It would've been more fun if they put more races such as the Ferengi, Vulcans, Bajorans, and Remans and interactive cut scenes when you warp to a planet, it will blow up or if you are close to a planet and the ship blows up by an enemy, it will crah into a planet (Similar to the films Star Trek III and Star Trek Generations films) and add some scens from the films and TV series. I like the fact that you can self-destruct and war really fast and change how you want your ships powers to be like more speed and more weapon power and repairing the ship. You also use a map to help find your enemies and mission objectives. The GRAPHICS in this game are impressive that the ship models look very detailed. The AUDIO is great that the music really sounds like Star Trek, mainly sounds like TNG, VOY, and DS9. They have all the actors voicing their respective captains which is pretty good. Too bad they didn't put much of the crew in this game to make it more detailed. The LASTING APPEAL will appeal to true trekkies and for people that like RTS games and some casual gamers. But since I like Star Trek, This is pretty good. Imagine a sequel with better improvements and game play, but overall, its worth a try if you like Sci-fy, the voice-acting, music, gameplay, and the TV shows and films, but it is good for trekkies, but not for everyone, unless you wanna try it out.
