A nice flashback to the Genesis daysThis is a good addition to anyone's collection who owned a Sega Genesis. The graphics look the same as they did on the 16-bit machine. Each game has an easy to use options menu and the sound is nice and clear. Anyone expecting anything better has their expectations too high. Remember, this is a flashback to the days where there were no advanced HD and 3D graphics like we see on today's consoles. I did read a review where someone complained that the screen is presented in a framed aspect. This is remedied by simply going to the options menu where you can adjust the width and height, thus eliminating the frame and not making it look stretched out. The only complaint I have is that there is unlockable content for the bonus games. These are not part of the main menu games, but still, I think that all disc content should be unlocked from the get go. I mean, come on, it's a blast from the past, not some advanced storyline as if it's a brand new game. One other downfall is that the Gamestop customer service representative informed me that it is a website available-only game, which meant I had to order the disc directly from them. I guess it wasn't a huge deal, but more of an inconvenience, but I did manage to track it down at my local used game store too, so if you want it used, your local used game shop may have it too. Overall, I did enjoy playing the games and it is worth the price.

Blast from the pastBasically you get 35+ sega genesis games to play with your comfortable 360 controller. some of the notables games are sonic 1, 2, 3, sonic and knuckles, sonic spinball, ecco the dolphin, vectorman 1 and 2, and golden axe. I only have 2 problems with the game so far, 1 you can't play over live in multiplayer games, this would have been an awesome feature for games like sonic. and 2, there are locked games that you unlock by doing certain things in other games, example, to unlock "phantasy star" you have to beat the first boss in Sonic 2 with 2 players. most of those things aren't hard but if you are bad at one game you won't ever get access to one of the locked ones which is annoying IMO. I got this game on sale for $10, which is a steal if you like any of the games on the list since you get so much more with it.
