Not good, not funThis game was an impulse buy. At $2 i still feel it wasn't with it. Choppy graphics and gameplay.

A above average racing game for the casual racerSo I have had this game now for about a year and a half and it been the only racing game that I have played that I could really recommend. I know NEED for SPEED is always one that people refer to which is decent but as far as Ridge Racer goes, it don't need all that stupid plot that can get in the way of just racing cars. The soundtrack is SWEET and the graphics are definityly well put together. Drifting does take a little getting use to since different cars have different types of steering, but once you get the rhythm of how they drive it makes for a exciting game. So to conclude, if your looking for a reasonably priced racing game with some sick vehicles, nice soundtrack, and intense racing then give this a chance and you may just be surprised how fun it is. I know I was.

The best true arcade racer on the XBOX 360This game came out 5 years ago and still holds its own against other arcade racers. Yes arcade racer, so of course its not realistic like FMS3 or TDU2. If you played any of the RR series in the past you"ll learn to appreciate the story and online play. Once you get used to the turning it is a very addicting racer till this day there are still gamers like me playing this online. Give it a shot. For the price you really lose nothing.

OK i guessThis game is ok by my standards. However i will say the controls suck. At the very beggining of the game you will clearly notice all cars were made for drift it is really hard considering the lack of control you actually have over your car and if you have never played a racing game with drifting in it. Also when you hit the wall you don't scrape it and sparks fly like you expect it bounces off the wall over and over and over again which gets very annoying. The graphics are really good probably the best thing about the game. Once you get used to the controls it can be a very fun game its not to hard and sometimes very easy. After you get used to the controls you will win races very easyily but they will get harder. Another thing is the freaking annoying voice during the races i don't know if he's supposed to be your crew chief or what but you will want to use your music for the races because of the guy using the word nitrous over and over again. If your a hardcore racer you will probably be dissapointed by this game. But if your looking for something to play by all means go out and buy it but be prepared for crappy controls and good graphics.
