Product Description

Set in the shattered subway of a post apocalyptic Moscow, Metro 2033 is a story of intensive underground survival where the fate of mankind rests in your hands. In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033. An entire generation has been born and raised underground, and their besieged Metro Station-Cities struggle for survival, with each other, and the mutant horrors that await outside. You are Artyom, born in the last days before the fire, but raised Underground. Having never ventured beyond your Metro Station-City limits, one fateful event sparks a desperate mission to the heart of the Metro system, to warn the remnants of mankind of a terrible impending threat. Your journey takes you from the forgotten catacombs beneath the subway to the desolate wastelands above, where your actions will determine the fate of mankind.

For an older game it looks great, plays well on the Xbox360. I'm a classic gamer, and recommend it to anyone who likes great game design.

I bought this game recently and I loved it. For two main reasons. 1. The horror and atmoshpere of the game is amazing. It is quite a scary game, with it being a survival-horror. However, sometimes I had to stop playing a little bit just to psych myself up to play it. I love that. It wasn't jumoscares too, just genuine dread filling my body. Esoecially in the libraray. 2. I loved the story. The games has an advantage of being adapted from a book series. A book series that I now want to read because of this game. You truly feel like your character, and the journal entries that you can pick up the way really add to the story. It's beautifully written.

Good, but a little dated compared to it's sequel

I purchased this game after finishing it's sequel: Metro Last Light. I really enjoyed that game, and it has several improvements both in user interface and weapon management over the first game: Metro 2033. If you are still using an Xbox 360 I can recommend both games. Both games have great graphics and depth, especially in the area of achievements. If you have an Xbox One or are considering getting one, I would suggest waiting to get the Xbox One versions which have been even further updated over the Xbox 360 versions both in graphics and game play.

I’ve been playing this game casually for a couple of months now and I’ve fallen in love with the story as well as many of the game mechanics. My only critique is that the segments fighting other human enemies as well as the stealth segments can be frustrating. However the game is beautiful and has had me held with suspense at moments. Being in the surface and having to keep track of your filters or being at the brink of health and having the fear of what’s to come around the corner makes this game feel so real. I even took the time to read the book which goes deeper into the themes of this world.

I got it like a month ago and it's is a messy game with a terrible story line. Not to mention, you can't even hear the main characters in the game at all due to all the other noises in the stupid game!!!!

after playing metro, you could say fallout is a more light hearted experience , and metro is a proper apocalypse, where most of the living haven't seen the sky and to go surface side you need a gas mask, i must say i was impressed with this game the mechinics are fresh and original the game reminds me of old survival horror games conserving scarce ammunition and supplies not to mention the ammuntion your fireing is the world's currency that you need to resupply yourself with not to mention the story is intoxicating ,and the game builds up tension better then a mystory novel, there were few things i wished for while i played the game the try tension of the game came from sneaking around silently killing enemies i just wish i could drag the bodies into some dark corner, and that the voice acting was better its not that its terrible ,its that everyone sounds as if they share the same DNA , but that shouldn't hold you back from buying it if your a fan of sci-fy or classic survival horror games i highly recommened this game.
