This is a great baseball game!Hi. I just recently got this game for the xbox 360. it is a cheap game, and you can't go wrong for the price that it is now. i'll start out with the graphics. this is where the game absolutely excels. the player models, jerseys, equipment and faces all look fantastic. the jerseys even ripple when it's windy! also, when you slide the dirt stays on the uniform too. so those are pretty cool parts of the graphics. the stadiums look great too. there are fireworks that go off when u hit a home run, which adds a little bit of excitement to the game. the crowd lookfs really cool too, there are plenty of different animations. the sound is almost as good. the crowd is lively, as well as the stadium music and pa announcer. the commentary, by john miller and joe morgan, is also good. they can get a little repetitive but they are very good, and sound realistic. gameplay is equally as good. there are a variety of plays, and it does actually seem close to a real baseball game. there are a couple frame rate issues here and there, but they're rare. overall, this game is very good. if you're looking for a good baseball game and don't want to spend a lot of money, then you should pick up mlb 2k7 for the xbox 360!

Good game with a crippling flawI recently purchased this game after having played it to death nearly 2 years ago. The game mechanics themselves are quite good despite the slightly erratic swing stick. The camera angles that were utlilized are some of the most dynamic that I've ever seen are really add a sense of realism to the action at hand (as opposed to the nearly constant "blimp cam" in 2K9). The stat tracking is solid and the AI provides a stiff challenge even on the default "Pro" setting. However, even with all it's strong points, I can't recommend this game to anyone. 2K sports released a patch that was supposedly going to fix a number of bugs and glitches, and for the most part it did. But it also infected the game with possibly the most destructive force in gaming...the "corrupted save file". The problem is, if you've had your X-Box on for more than an hour or so, the game decides that it either can't read your memory device at all, or that all of your save files are damaged and unsable. This is especially irritating when one is in the middle of a season, but it's infuriating regardless. It's not technically unplayable, as I've managed to actually finish a game, save it, then restart my system and continue my franchise uninhibited (or at least play the next game). This is a major pain in the neck though, and frankly I don't think it's worth it unless you literally have nothing else to occupy your time.

Excellent ValueI purchased this game when it came out. I think it is one of the truest baseball sims out there. Even now its 2009, and its better than the new one out. The players look realistic and the gameplay is excellent. You feel like you are at the ballpark. They did a great job with the day/night physics. For instance, when you play a late game in the evening you can see the nighttime onset. Sometimes it rains and they have a delay of game. You can put your favorite songs in also. There are some little quirks, like when you play against the CPU the outfielder won't even look as he catches the ball at the warning track or the fence. They could have made the crowd more realistic. The anouncers are very good. Its fun to play this baseball game. For the price, it is a steal. Its well worth it.

outta of the parkThis game is awesome if u are a true base ball fan u would get this game not because it is cheap and the economy is low but because i love it you would sure to love it.the reason i love this game because it is a huge challenge because the computer cheat a lot for some reason they can dive up to 10 feet and almost always they catch it . it really really really really really really really really really really bothers me. This game is fun to play. You can choose what kind of uniforms and the conditions to play your game at any stadium you can choose! This game actually looks like your watching a real baseball game on tv. You can argue at the umpire, be the umpire, have injuries and ejections! Its pretty fun to watch. You also get to hear the real Joe Morgan and Jon Miller! Its fun and i recommend to all the gamers who like baseball! Also you can view your sky box and check out your trophies, awards, and even play mini games like darts and air hockey. The only weird thing is that when you are going to the spot to catch a ball and your there, your player has to stretch to catch it! Plus you know how in old games you can walk thru people, well in this you can collide! Only if you call that you got it!

ugh....some good things some bad.. first the good news: great graphics, and amazing sound. im guessing that theres millions and millions of different animations. the gameplay sounds are great. the announcing on the other hand.. humph. they never have anything exciting to say other than 'gone!' or something like that.the controls are king of confusing for the defence, batting and pitching. first the defence: i just always have a hard time climbing over a wall for a catch and just simple stuff like that. next, pitching... what is there to say other than how in the world?sometimes it seems like every pitch goes by the catcher and advances the runners every time. the directions and tips for pitching dont really make sence to me. the batting now... theres the easy way and the hard way. first the hard way: the hit stick with your right analog stick. i just got extremely confused at first but then i mastered it and end up hittin way too many home runs, even with mediocre players, so i switched to classic. i ended up hitting more with classic. the game overall is fairly difficuld, regarding the cpu's defence.how do i get a ground ball hugging the foul lines out.. always a dive even from david ortiz and ryan howard. even when thayre playing away from the lines, they make some sort of 15 feet dive to come up with the ball...wierd. i was accually fairly impressed with the camera angles... they were good. when i fielded the first ball and the angle changed toward the unp's view (kind of) i was confused, as to being used to mlb 06 the show for the playstation 2, because along with COD3, thp8 and madden 08, this is one of my first games. i like the many angles of the replays and just the freezing for the statistics of the players (which seems to be way too easy to gain for each game) other than this, the rest of what i ahve to say is a bunch of blah cuz i dont really know what to put. this game is OK and i might end up trading it back in because it is EXTREMELY boring after a medium portion of time. if you still can, rent this before you buy it because you might regret buying it. 6.8/10

Pretty GoodThis is a good game. I was pretty skeptical about it after buying MLB 2K6, which was horrible. Everything is good except for a couple of things, however. The computer is amazing on defense, it's so frustrating smashing a ball deep in the gap only to have a mediocre outfielder come out of nowhere and dive 10 feet to catch it. In almost every game I've played, I've smashed a ball deep, for almost a sure home run, and then see the outfielder climb the wall or jump 15 feet to steal my HR! This happens way too often and it's really frustrating. The running controls are kind of hard also. You can download roster updates, so you can have the teams from the end of the season, and get the amazing Tim Lincecum and Ryan Braun in the game. This game is really good and it's a bargain and i recommend it to everybody who likes baseball, but seriously, the computer's defensive ability will get you really frustrated or sometimes really, really mad.

One of the best gamesMlb 2k7 is a really awesome game. actually its one of the best graphics baseball games that i have played in a long time! well, actually it depends on what system you get it for. i have played it for psp, xbox, and xbox360, and xbox360 by far has the best graphics I'm not sure how it is for ps3 however... anyway i have only played one season game so far and the gameplay is just awesome! the animation and graphics look so real! the introduction before the game is awesome to and it is sure to keep a players attention and keep the players guessing. even the graphics of how the stadiums look so real! i still have to play all the other great modes such as franchise mode etc. they have really improved all the gameplay from xbox to the 360. i recommend this to all the baseball fans out there!!!
