I've seen worse......and that about sums it up. I saw a LOT of reviews on here from what I assume are young ones from they way they were written with many exclamation points crudeness, and a fair mount of exaggeration. <Paragraph> I too have played/owned/sold HAWX, Blazing Angels, Ace Combat 6 - Garuda!, Assault Horizon, and it seems like several others, and I agree with most of the others in that Ace Combat 6 is definitely the best out there, and even that one has some holes so big you could fly a plane through them. But comparing all these other games to this one, I don't think JASC fairs all that bad- It's not the greatest game, and it's got bugs, but at least it is playable, they seem to be releasing patches all the time, I hope they get whatever it is fixed because I noticed some of the freeze-ups, and the jittery play as well. Sometimes the game sort of freezes, and you'll be flying, or even in a spin, and the thing will continue to spin, and finally everything goes dark, then, it wakes up and sort of moves on to the next mission! Anyway, It's something to hold my attention until GTAV lauches.

terrible let downjanes used to be the best flight Sim title for the PC but they sure did not translate it to this piece of junk. the graphics are just terrible, the airplanes handle poorly, the weapons are simplistic, the sound is average and the storyline is weak. other than that no problems! avoid this one! i would not pay $5 for this game. ace combat, though flawed, is ten times better than this.

avoid.just about everything about this game screams super low end budget title. the problem is what you get is... well... garbage.
graphics look like PS2 era
sound isn't anything special
overall, the value isn't there
if you want to try a combat flight game for under $30 pick up:
ace combat 6
in fact, i think each of those are under $20 now, the same price as this.
personally i recommend ace combat 6 for single player, hawx 1 has a really fun co-op
i did not like hawx 2 at all.

Met my expectationsI didn't expect a lot from this game when i bought it, but all around i enjoy playing this game. the plot is not very good, and at times it can get repetitive, but the game-play in the jets and the many cool planes you can choose from is pretty fun. This was my first flight simulator game, and all around it's pretty fun game.

DisappointingThis game was a huge disappointment, especially since it is using "Jane's " in it's title. Jane's is a huge name is aerospace reference and had early success in it's PC versions of flight sims. I bought this game with low expectations (the price was a hint there may not be much to it). I have completed the campaign and it was extremely frustrating. The graphics are poor, the voice acting is worse. My game locked up numerous times during gameplay and there was consistent digital skipping during conversations between the characters. There were several times were the scenery would just disappear and my plane would fly into an invisible mountain. Dog fights are virtually nonexistent as you eliminate targets with missiles most of the time and any gun engagement leaves you wondering if you are actually doing any damage. There is no indication (i.e. structural parts flying off the enemy aircraft or smoke, etc.) that you are even hitting the target aircraft. The flying is boring as the only view is in the third person from behind your aircraft and there is a built in swaying of your airplane, it rocks back and forth during level flight making one a bit sea sick and making the pilot feel the need to continually stabilize the airplane. This drove me nuts!! The campaign is a poorly written fictional story with made up countries with no connection to our universe. The flight characteristics of the different aircraft are hardly discernible from one another. They either fly faster or slower depending on the aircraft. I could go on, but it's hardly worth it. I was hoping to get a decent flight sim and was let down. Save your money and buy a used copy of Ace Combat 6 (Not Assault Horizon, that's another bad one) or IL 2. Even HAWX and HAWX 2 are extremely good and re-playable. Epic Fail for Jane's resulting in a crash and burn!!

JASF didn't hold trueIf you are expecting an authintic military flight sim for which Jane's is famous for you will be let down. You are going to be playing nothing more than another copy of HAWX or Ace Combat. The JASF that we knew has died.
