I am a huge fan of Tokyo extreme racer. well this is just that, but with better graphics and a better tuning system. if you like Tokyo extreme racer than this game is for you! you can actually customize the exterior and interior of your car. different style body kits, a decent amount of wheels options and even nitrious now. in my opinion the best tuning aspect is the visuals. with each performance upgrade you actually SEE what goes on under the hood. with each muffler you get to choose what style and everything. the only downside is the lack of cars. if you are familiar with txr3 drift or drift 2 there were many cars!! this game only has about 15 or so and some cannot be customized, but overall one of my favs

I randomly picked this one up at the Game Stop and realized the treasure I had in my hand. I have yet to be able to play on Live but this is just as much fun as the original and sequels. Cheesy characters and awesome freeway racing. The customization is fun. This game probably would have sold a lot more if it were named correctly.

Does it support 2 player split screen?

yes, it supports 2-player split screen divided between top and bottom of screen. Unfortunately, it only lets players use an first-person bumper level view when racing and, for some, that might make playability difficult since it's hard to tell when you are hitting walls, etc. (I prefer a behind car view).
