... but that doesn't make it a bad game. This game has its flaws and they will be apparent to you as soon as you start playing and its not exactly what you would expect from Bethesda, but for a older cheap game its pretty good.
One of the biggest things I look for in game is Co-op play so I was happy to see this game include that. I was thinking an action rpg with elements of Skyrim or Oblivion mixed in that you could play with a friend. Well, its not anything like Skyrim and Oblivion and the co-op really isn't worth playing in my opinion. For whatever reason the co-op mode does away with almost all the cut scenes which means you don't understand the story if you aren't playing solo. (At least this is what it did for split screen) It also makes the somewhat wonky controls of the game more apparent when playing split screen. I have also heard of major technical issues associated with co-op as some reviews attest to on here.
However, I really enjoyed the concept of this game. It is not the best action RPG, but it retained enough redeeming qualities that I could say I would recommend this to anyone looking for a bargain game to play. The environments and graphics are surprisingly good and there are plenty of secrets to find throughout the world, although be prepared for a fight when you do. The rpg elements are dumbed down, but they are good enough to satisfy. I also really liked the different weapons, abilities and lore. The story is not half bad either.
I would also recommend playing on casual or gamer. This game is pretty hard and there will be areas that you will be challenged even on these lower difficulty levels. And since checkpoints can be a bit spread out, these challenging times can add unneeded frustration.
Don't be afraid to buy this game.
