If you are a super fanIt's mainly just a traditional hack and slash game with not a lot of new mechanics. The ability to play co op on the same box is nice because not a lot of games offer that now. If you're a huge fan of hellboy in general you will probably like the game.

A DECENT BRAWLER THATS WAY TOO OVERPRICEDI'd like to make this as perfectly clear as possible, Hellboy: The Science of Evil is NOT WORTH full price. Now that does not mean its a bad game (it isn't), it's just that an incredibly old school brawler like this offers NOTHING new that you couldn't play on your PSX . You know the types right? Just get from point A to point B and beat the living hell out of everything that gets in your way. That's ALL you do in HB:TSOE. That's it. No puzzle solving to rack your brain, no grand scale platforming to work your way across, just give beatdowns and then progress. Lather, rinse, repeat. You'll be doing that through all 6 levels (at least they're all a decent size) alone or with a friend on Xbox Live. The host controls Hellboy while the guest has their choice between Liz or Abe. Graphics are nice (though 360 is capable of WAY MORE), controls are simple and easy to learn, the music definitely fits with the game, and the voice acting from Ron Perlman, Selma Blaire, and David Hyde Pierece is solid. That's honestly all there really is to say about HB:TSOE. If you want a decent/cool brawler then you'll want to give this a look, but you'll REALLY want to wait for it until it drops in price. Overall, I'd give it like a 6.8, not bad but obviously not great, just serviceable and simple.
