Okay, I realize games like this are basically guaranteed to suck, and that they are made essentially as a merchandising gimmick for sucker dads who feel slightly guilty that 90% of 360 games are not fun for girls, but this game SUCKS! The controls are unbelievably lame. It's hard to tell what your input is doing relative to what's onscreen, and regardless of how bad you do in the tutorial, the prompts are all like "Great!" and "You Rock!" Once you are out of tutorial mode, unless you have memorized the stick combos for every move while in tutorial, there is no way to even know what the pose icons are telling you to do. Not that it matters, because when you do get one right by random chance, the controller vibrates, which makes it feel like you're getting a shock treatment for failure, which contradicts the stars that light up on the screen. The musical instrument modes are even worse. It's like playing a lame version of Rock Band without the instruments, even if the controls were responsive. But again, you feel like what you are doing and what you are seeing are totally unrelated. I literally could not make the drumming game work, even in tutorial mode, and yet the prompts were still going, "You did great!" When it comes to the one fail-safe feature for girl's games, the character-creator/wardrobe section, this game falls flat too. First off, the character looks way more sexual than the actress does in real life. My daughter, who can play with Sims character creator for hours, got sick of it in literally under a minute. It would be more rewarding to watch a Hannah Montana movie while playing with a 360 controller without batteries than playing this game. This game is an absolute must avoid. Dads out there, don't fall for it. Your daughter will NOT enjoy this game or bond with you for having bought it for her.
