Product Description

Put on your shades and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can't stop our hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it. The King arrives with an arsenal of over-the-top weapons, non-stop action, and unprecedented levels of interactivity. This game puts the pedal to the metal and tongue firmly in cheek. Shoot hoops, lift weights, read adult magazines, draw crude messages on whiteboards or ogle the many hot women that occupy Duke's life - that is if you can pull yourself away from destroying alien invaders. With hours and hours of over-the-top single player action, and a range of bodacious multiplayer modes, rest assured knowing the fun will last. Duke Nukem was and will forever be a gaming icon, and this is his legend.
Story:

Did the Alien bastards not learn their lesson the first time? Duke has been on hiatus for some time now, kicking back and franchising himself on the fame he gained from saving Earth from the first invasion. The Aliens have returned to Earth yet again, messing up Duke's sweet routine of dirty leisure habits.

The Alien invaders are stealing Earth's women, especially the hot ones! And they drank Duke's beer. This. Won't. Stand. As Duke battles his way through waves of aliens, the once beautiful gambling haven and Duke Nukem franchise chains are crumbling before his eyes. Time to bring the pain!

Features:

  • Ego, and then Some: Step into the shoes of Duke Nukem, the steroidal One-Man Army who never fails and always gets the Babes.
  • Bust a Gut: Duke pulls no punches. He does and says the things you are thinking. Duke's constant stream of hilarious one-liners throughout the game will have gamers rolling.
  • World Interactivity: Spend as much time as you want shooting hoops, lifting weights, playing pinball, pool, air hockey, and slots.
  • Scale & Variety: This game has it all; packed with explosive FPS action, outlandish settings, driving, and puzzle solving — gamers will never tire of the endless FUN.
  • Multiplayer Like No Other: Duke re-envisions classic modes of play in his own hilarious and humiliating way. Shrink your opponent and squash him with your foot. Freeze and shatter him. Attach explosives to his back. Roll a pipe bomb between his legs, or just frag him old-fashioned with a rocket.

You might like this one. Same humor as the old pc versions, but the gameplay is a bit different. Seems about as freeplay with missions, just dine slightly different than I remember on the pc.

Well I bought the game as a Christmas present but it was more adult geared than I realized. The game was fine but not for the players. The wonderful local GameStop allowed me to trade it for another kid friendly game.

Duke Nukem is a steroid popping, beer chugging, disrespectful, ego-maniacal D-bag who just can't pass up an opportunity to use another cheesy one liner, but that's what makes him Duke. Duke Nukem Forever is a shooter that downright refuses to take itself seriously, which leads to a few legitimate laughs. Duke has an arsenal of pistols, shotguns, alien laser rifles and the occasional turret gun at his disposal, yet the ultimate weapon is steroids. Popping a bottle of these performance enhancing pills will give Duke a full ego boost and will temporarily allow him to literally punch his enemies to pieces. The game is fun, plain and simple. From interactive pinball games, to shrinking to toy size, to "jokes" so bad, you can't help but chuckle, this game is the balls

I like Duke Nukem. I've played Manhattan Project and Duke Nukem 3D, so although I'm not his biggest fan, I'm familiar with him. However, since I played it with very low expectations, the game got the better of me. It had from what I remember usual Duke humor, some of the same stupid but fun scenarios, and I somewhat enjoyed the combat system. The graphics were bad for a 2012 game, but I don't judge a game by it's graphics like everyone else. Some of the interactions Duke has with things are cool and funny. The game was good! The only thing is it could've been done way better, and the combat did kind of get in the way of the humor sometimes. However, for the cheap price it has now, I recommend you at least try it before you give into the expectation that it's bad, just at least try it.

Needs Improvement

I love to play video games and I also love to judge them, and my judgments are usually optomistic. This game is not all bad, but I see major room for improvement. This game has too many ideas piled on top of one another, and it really ruins it. Try it if you want, do not be shocked if it is not what you expected.

Duke Nukem Forever is a game that I really didn't like. The first few hour's are fun but after a while the gameplay just get's old. The game was too hard at time's and just plain frustrating for me. I found a lot of the bosses to be too difficult to finish. The storyline is cliché for a Duke Nukem game. The enemies are all the same and it's just not fun.
