One of the better DMC games

Inching above DMC Devil May Cry this game is fantastic both from a newness perspective and staying true to the old. Nero is a bit annoying at first but he grows on you and the game play is solid as ever. The framerate is never compromised and it's really enjoyable. Definitely worth a pickup, especially at this low price.

While I'm not too fond of the main character (don't hate him, just don't like him much either), it's still a fun game to just play for kicks.

EXCITIN... The Game Ended Before I Finished Typing

This is one of the most exciting, fast-paced action games out there. It's sad to say that it probably will take me longer to write this review than to beat the game. I jest of course, but the game really is only a few hours long. Every second counts. If the game wasn't so short, I'd have rated it a 9.

Your typical Japanese hack 'n slash adventure game

This game is a perfect example of a typical hack and slash fantasy game. There is plenty of fun, violence, and smart remarks to go around(as to be expected from Devil May Cry), but the repetitive missions and annoying save system are a major distraction. For one, unless you get through your current mission(levels if you will) you cannot save the game, and if you turn off your console before completing one of these missions (in case of a power outage or emergency), even saving in the pause menu won't help, because it will still make you start back at the mission's beginning, no matter how far into it you were. That is probably my biggest problem with this game. Aside from those things this is a great game. I also don't like that you don't get to play as Dante (Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 3's protagonist) all that much.

the highs and lows of being half demon

in devil may cry 4 you play half of the game as dante and the other half as a new protaginist nero, both charcthers have a different fighting style where dante is an eligent fighter with many different styles such as swoard master, gun slinger, royal guard, and trickster, nero relays on brute force to down his enemies and brings a new a new weapon/tool to the game called the devil bringer a.k.a his right hand, witch helps you reach far away items and get past obsticles , haveing two prtaginist is a good thing because it helps mix up the game play and gives the game a nice replay value to it, and yes the style system is still important ,now for the good and bad news the good news combat is still fluid as everand ever charchter has a large arsenal of moves , and geting an s ranki is still addicting, and the game fetures a new mode called bloody palace witch is a survival challenge were you can play as ethier dante and nero now for the bad news in retro spec i think the devlopers did a great job on designing the in game envirioments but there not so good you'd want to play thourgh it twice, dante's campain were nero left off and you pretty much replay the previous levels as dante with new enemies add ,with the exception of one original level , but never the less the game is still fun and addicting so try not to let that flaw hold you back from buying it.

I've had this game for years. It's my favorite next to Devil May Cry 3, Special Edition. If you are good at fast paced hackn'slash games with amazing stories and interesting characters, then this is for you. Not a game for people new to the gaming community. 10/10 for me

SORRY DMC FANS

Sorry to all you hardcore DMC fans but this game is bad. Nero is stupid and dante is the bad guy through half the game. The story is also bad. Extremely bad game. And to think, DMC used to be fun. Dont buy this game. For the sake of your entertainment. You might just die of boredom playing this.
