Okay, I'll be talking about my most...BELOVED, game, College Hoops 2k6. Now, give me a break, I'm only 11, so my logic might not be so good to you. Also, I sold my regular Xbox version (not the 360!), and I'm getting the 360 version in a few days. ANYWAYS, I'll be, first, talking about the game-play on the game.
The game-play... ;D Okay, um...I love how you can be a coach of a small, ish team, then become the coach of...of a 2006's DUKE. That mode is called "Legacy". Now, if you read above, you know this is just off the top of my head, my memory. Oh, right, description stuff. There is also a mode where you just...you know...do an association of a team, the team of your choice. It could be Connecticut, or maybe even, I don't know, freaking Weber State. Now, the recruiting in this game is good. Now, in real life, if you're a smaller team, you don't get the most prized players. Luckily, they (2k) knew that, so you didn't play as a team like LIU (Long Island University) and get the most prized player in the country. Now to talk about the in-game playing. In-game meaning while you're in a basketball game with your team. The controls are simple. I don't want to describe them, because it's like Every other 2k basketball game...basically.
Okay, NOW we talk about something else: Sound.
The sound? Well, the music is pretty good from what I remember. Not so great, but heck, it's a game from eight years ago. Now, still, I forgot what the music was, but I remember one really catchy techno song... ;) nostalgia. Okay, now, the SFX. The SFX can get annoying after a while of scrolling and stuff, but I'm pretty sure there was an option to turn the SFX down?... In a basketball game, the crowd, if you're at a home game and make a shot, can get annoying with the cheering, but that's just at first. Soon, you find it to be achievement for being such a BOSS at the game.
The graphics are awesome.
Okay, lasting appeal?
Lasting appeal...oh gosh...okay, the lasting appeal is FOREVER. I would never want to sell this game, and whoever says that, KILL THEM WITH A SHOTGUN. *ahem* But yeah, it's a really great classic which you'd want to play, or at least keep for the memories. Playing it never gets old...especially when you are a coach, at DUKE winning championships, remembering that you started at...I don't know...SU (Southern University) in Louisiana. :P
This is my review.
yes: I recommend this product
