Product Description

As Vincent, a man recently succumbed to the irresistible beauty of the game's titular diversion, players find themselves swept into a treacherous love triangle. Catherine's core themes those of free will, of the delicate nature of relationships and the choices we make within them, marry perfectly with the intense, terror-filled gameplay that serves to accurately reflect Vincent's growing sense of anxiety. It is an experience wholly unlike any to come before it, and is certain to leave gamers talking and thinking about Vincent's tribulations long after the credits have rolled.

The Horrors of Love: Vincent's waking fears, doubts, pressures, and growing guilt about commitment and fidelity now gleefully follow him into his dreams, manifesting as horribly disfigured monsters and a ticking clock.

Between a Rock and a Soft Place: The player must navigate Vincent through heavy moral decisions. As in real life, hardly anything is black and white. What is the value of honesty? What is the right thing to do? Either way, someone's going to get hurt. Worse yet, someone could die.

The Nightmare of Your Dreams: Famed character artist Shigenori Soejima and master composer Shoji Meguro create sights and sounds unlike anything else. As unforgettable and original as the game's narrative, Catherine's visual direction and musical score define and perfectly complement Vincent's terrifying ascent into the dizzying perils of love.

Escape With or From a Friend: Local competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, in addition to leaderboards, ensure that the many thrills and horrors of racing through twisted stages can be enjoyed by more than one player and add hours of extra gameplay to the overall experience.

Catherine, flawed yet fun

I played a demo for this game a while back and I found it to be rather fun, Though not every aspect of it succeeds. The best aspect of the game by far is its social interactions, It's not that surprising considering that group responsible for the Persona series are behind this game. The time spent at the bar was the part I enjoyed most because it felt like I was playing a Persona game. Though the story isn't as good as the Persona titles. If you're a fan of Climbing puzzles then this is the game for you. However, while the climbing puzzles can be fun they can also be frustratingly difficult. Some of the courses you have to go through feel a bit unbalanced and those flaws shine all the more when it comes to the bosses. The graphics and the voice acting still hold up really well but some of it is starting to show its age. Either way this is still a good title to check out.

Catherine is sexy, fun, and a challenge. You can decide to be faithful to your lover or to your own desires and the gameplay is a lasting appeal. The puzzles in the game are challenging but not to an extent to where you'll give up in frustration, it'll keep you wanting to play. The graphics are GREAT especially if you're a fan of the anime style. Catherine will is a babe-game and girl.

I'm a woman but I've been dying to play this game forever. The target audience is male, cause you know there are the saucy scenes (Nothing obscene, you just get sent a few photos. Everything's covered but it is racy.) I didn't mind but the story really drew me in, It has more depth than you'd think. It was a fairly short game it took me about a day to complete and I'm pretty bad at games (I was playing on easy though, so there's still tons of challenge for more skilled players) It's puzzle based and it has a cool story line. The only thing I can really say I didn't care for was near the end of the game there were consistent bells when you were trying to complete a puzzle was driving me a little mad. It's very hard to concentrate with the bells and that's probably just me. I think they did it for a reason though, because the higher up in levels you got the louder it seemed to be. Which is understandable when you start to play and the story starts to unfold. It was just a little rattling to me that the bells were louder than everything. My advice is for anyone who is going to get the game, talk to all the sheep at every stage. You really learn a lot about the characters through it. Talk to everyone in the bar. The stories really made the game for me and gave it a breath of life. Sure the game would be great without it and the puzzles are fun but it kind of gave me perspective. *KINDA SPOILER* It just got to me how all of those men could be judged but no one really understood why they do what they're doing to begin with. It doesn't make what they do right but it gives me a lot of perspective. Plus I really liked the ending!

I bought this game last month and man it has a great storyline but the puzles are prety easy at first then the further you get the longer and harder they get and it can be frustrating at times, it takes alot of patients and planning and if you are a puzle fan this is for you but you have to be on you p's and q's through the game but it is worth the price.
