FUN! BETTER than new SSX or Shaun White or Stoked!Just like you, I was a huge fan of SSX3 and SSX Tricky back in the PS2 days. To my disappointment, the new Xbox360/PS3 version of SSX that came out this year is NOTHING like those old school games. I also tried Shaun White Snowboarding and Stoked and they sucked to say the least. Then, I found this Amped 3 game on a bargain shelf at my local Gamestop for only $4.99, and I AM HOOKED! If you miss the careless stoner-style snowboarding of old-school SSX games, try this game! The story is fun, characters are colorful, and MOUNTAINS ARE HUGE! It's almost impossible to go out of bounds, you are free to roam anywhere and still find new challenges and side missions that you didn't see before. The game starts out kinda slow and the first mountain is nothing special, but once you unlock new states and mountains, the ramps there get more extreme and the story really picks up. There are TONS of unlockable clothes, boards and accessories, and the soundtrack contains hundreds of cool songs, I especially like the Electronica playlist. Graphics are pretty sharp and awesome and the mountains feel really festive as they are populated with hundreds of other boarders and skiers. Also, there are sledge and snowmobile riding challenges. The tricks are not as ridiculously crazy as in SSX series, but they are still pretty extreme and leave room for creativity and challenge! Last but not the least, the game features Constructor mode where you can build your own snow resort with the craziest ramps, rails, halfpipes, etc. FOR ONLY $4.99, THIS GAME IS A STEAL and it's as close as it gets to the old school SSX games!

Best so farI got this game soon after the launch of the 360, and its one of the only games I still have from the launch line-up. Its perfect if you enjoy sandbox games that have challenges for you to do over and over. Sadly, this franchise is dead as Indy Built, the company who made it, has gone under. So this is the final installment in what has been a great series of games. Here's hoping the new SSX revives some interest in Snowboarding games.

HorribleThis game was great on xbox, the first two games but this game seemed like a childs imagination came up with it. every characters name is really wierd and childish. the charters are odd shapes too, like skinny legs and huge feet and skinny body's but huge shoulders. this game would be great if your new to 360 and are under ten. The obsictles on the map are unrealistic there like neon colors and the jumps in real life would probley break your legs. the challages in the game are odd too like grinding for 5 minutes almost or jumping the ski lodge and landing on a tree trunk. its not realestic its more of a arcade because you have to score points to pass levels that all seem the exact same. the mountains all look the same too, rent it first if you like it buy it than. Its only *** dollers thought so.
Unfortunately this game does not appear to be on Microsoft's official Backwards Compatible list, therefore you would need an Xbox 360 to play it. To read more about Back Compat titles, visit the below:
