Spider-Man: Web of Shadows

Features

  • Overhauled Combat System Provides Deepest Arsenal Ever: A reengineered combat system fuses Spider-Man's speed and strength to create deadly new attacks and combos. For the first time ever in a Spider-Man game, players can take the fight vertically and combat foes on city walls, where only Spider-Man holds the advantage.
  • Gamers Control Their Fighting Experience: At a moment's notice, gamers can switch between the agile grace of Spider-Man's Red Suit and the savage power of the Black Suit, creating some of the most devastating combos ever seen in a Spider-Man game.
  • Players Can Customize Their Ideal Spider-Man: Players earn experience in multiple combat disciplines, allowing them to custom-design their ideal Spider-Man. Points awarded during battle can be used across unique paths to upgrade the Red Suit and Black Suit, allowing players complete control over the style and moves they take into combat.
  • Every Choice Counts: Dependant on the gamer's actions and decisions, a morality meter will gauge whether citizens cheer Spider-Man on or run away in fear. Spider-Man's actions as hero or vigilante, based on choices at key points in the game, will affect how the fate of New York vs. alien invasion ends.
  • Side With Marvel's Greatest Heroes and Villains: Luke Cage or Vulture? Wolverine or Electro? Gamers can control who will ultimately aid them in the fight to rid New York of its alien symbiote. Alliances with Marvel's greatest heroes and most notorious villains hold consequences, as heroic and vigilante paths hold different destinies. Call upon your allies with the push of a button to combine forces for epic Hero Strikes!
  • A Living, Breathing New York City Under Siege: Next-generation technology provides gamers with an added dimension of interactivity – destroy store fronts, demolish vehicles and grab anything in your path to use as a weapon. Devastated by the invasion, New York City is itself transformed with enormous, hanging symbiote hives and infected symbiotes, providing gamers with epic never-before seen visuals and enemies.

The more I play the better I feel and the worse my brothers feel. Still scary and also not. My favorite part is when SpiderMan first faces off with Venom. The scary part was when Eddie Brock was saying he would take Mary Jane from SpiderMan. I like that you can throw and destroy vehichles and all that stuff. I like the action and perfect gameplay and the sound is like it's really happening...like you're watching a video of the real thing. It lasts like forever you can bearely go to sleep at night. It's probably the best singular player game EVER! The way Venom looks gives me the creeps, but eventually that goes away. Theres so much suspense. You don't know what'll happen next. I'm eager to play it right now. OOOOHHHHHH! Must not! MUSTTTT!!!!!!!!!!! NNNNNNNOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!NOOO!!! MMMMUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it I'm gonna play RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your planning to buy this game then hold on. Because it stinks i recommend to get the Xbox 360 or ps3. Because some of the systems have no 3D free roam like ps2.And also the graphics suck. If u don't take my word for it rent it first. If you really like it buy it. Trust me I'm a big spidey fan I got ever game made. Theres also the combat you cant use the tentacles. The game is easy to beat not very challenging like the ps3 or 360. Just buy another game that has a better review. The games i recommend you to get are Saints Row 2, Fable 2, Fallout 3, legendary, and socom confrontation. Also Mercenaries 2 world in flames. This game is way badder than spiderman 3 on the ps2. I hope you have a ps3 because you're gonna have hours of fun and good gameplay.

Nice, very nice. This game is rly fun. The controls at first are hard but after a while u get the hang of it. I love web striking enemys. And the whole 'symbiotes take over New york' thing was great. SPOILER ALERT!!! IF U DONT WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE FINAL BOSS IS, SKIP THIS BIT!!! The final boss Venomzilla was rly cool but easy to beat. I think marvel and activision worked rly hard on that boss. OK SPOILER ENDED. Ok after that im gonna talk about the moves u can unlock. The punch flurry was nice. And I LOVED black spider-mans trendil attack. Elbow smash is rly good. The symbiote bosses were fantastic for example Symbiote Vulture, Symbiote Wolverine, Symbiote Electro ect. The unlockable costumes were fun to use, but the Iron spider-man was almost immposible to get. My fav costume was spider-man 2099. Collecting spiders was pretty fun. So overall this is a great game and i hope everyone has great holidays, so bye!!!

Well Made Spider-Man Game

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is a very good game and it is easy to tell that the game makers put a lot of effort into it. This game is not a movie based game (while most other Spider-Man games are) but it adds the black suit into the storyline. Other than giving you additional abilities while using the black suit, at certain points in the game, you have the decision to either take the path of the black suit (basically Peter talking how he talked in the movie, all emo-ish and say somewhat different words) and the red suit. That changes your suit alignment altering your allies. The game was kind of challenging. The bosses could of been made a little harder. The graphics and animation were EXCELLENT! You get to go wherever you want in New York. Anywhere outside at least. The length was actually pretty long. I got in on Christmas and it took me a week and a half to beat it and I was playing it all the time. At least five or four hours a week. The storyline was excellent. You get your black suit back when you are fighting venom in the somewhat beginning when part of the symbiote that is venom goes off of him and attaches to you. Later on, Venom is capturing civilians and turning them into symbiote minions. Eventually, they take over New York and you have to stop them. That is all I am including. The controls are somewhat nice. The annoying thing about it is whenever you run or swing by an enemy, the screen automatically locks on to it. To unlock, you fling the wii numchuck down. To alternate suits, you fling the wii numchuck left or right. I hope you can see where I am going with this. If not, I'll tell you. Sometimes it doesn't unlock. It just changes the suit. This happens all the time so it's so hard to unlock. Other than that, the controls are very good. The interface is excellent too. Nothing is cluttered, you can easily find anything you need. The sound is good too. Often Spider-Man makes humorous jokes and makes fun of the bad guys. When you web sling, the sound is great for that. All the sound is great. Oh and if you do not like the sight of blood and don't want to get any game with blood in it, don't be fooled by the T-rating. There is NO animated blood in this game. The drug reference is just when your supposed to take out a few drug dealers. Nothing else. I've only heard three words that are classified as "mild language". The mild suggestive theme (not themes) is when Black Cat kisses Spider-Man a couple times. Nothing to say about violence. Its a Spider-Man game. Of course its violent! My overall rating is a 10 and I suggest that any action game fan and Spider-Man fan would LOVE this game. I highly suggest it to them.
