Rated 4 out of 5 by Lauren M from Overall positive- like to see more in the future I’ve been enjoying this game, and for what it’s worth it’s been a great way to kill time and relax. I did get major deja-vu playing this as at times it felt exactly like the other harvest moon games. There’s a few quirks that the game has that are SUPER ANNOYING. One being that you can’t give a variety of different qualities of the items in completing the quests so if someone requests wool you can’t give the better version of milk that your sheep produces so it’s very annoying trying to get lower quality wool. Also the character scenes are long and unnecessary and don’t add anything to the game play in my opinion but I get that some people like that. The last change I would make to the game would be to add more things later in the game because after completing the 4 or 5 levels there’s not much to keep playing for thus the game quickly looses its incentives to play. Compared to older harvest moon games which left you with plenty to do to get all the sprites and stuff. All in all this game was a good 40-50 hours of play and I hope that they continue to expand on this series and make more games. In future games I would like to see more things to do further on in the game and more marriage and relationship development. I would like to see more ways to customize your house, and I think they should expand the town more instead of just expanding it to empty land. (More characters and more things to do would be great). It would also be nice to be able to marry a girl as a girl or a guy as a guy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by BK_VA from It’s everything you’ve already played. This is a familiar Harvest Moon experience, to include many of the bothersome quirks. The story line is the same cookie cutter framework as every other installment, but there are a few gameplay tweaks that make the play more efficient. You no longer need to switch between tools in the menu as the game automatically uses the correct tool based on what you are targeting (i.e. axe for a tree, hammer for a rock, etc.). My main issues with the game are the lack of originality, the strange 16-bit-esque art style, and the over mixed sound effects. Still, the core gameplay is fun.
