Rated 4 out of 5 by gamingnerd47 from This game is mindblowing originally I thought this game was not going to be as good as its predecessor Star wars Jedi knight 2 Jedi outcast so I skipped out on buying this title for many years and now I regret that decision I bought it only a few months ago and I was amazed the graphics are slightly improved and all of the annoying texture pop ins that would take 10 seconds to load their final result are gone. the customization is one of the many good points about Jedi academy it was up graded from just choosing the color of your lightsaber to being able to have 1 lightsaber dual wield lightsabers being able to change the handle your saber is generated from and have a double sided lightsaber like darth maul from episode 1 the story is really well done a great script well done voice acting and characters that you will admire or dislike the sounds sound realistic in combat but some times rarely the audio may just stop completely for 3 seconds. The multiplayer is fun but the lobby size was downgraded from 15 to 9 which really makes the multiplayer boring compared to the previous game but this game does support Xbox Live and Jedi Outcast does not they also removed Jedi Master mode a really fun and addicting game mode where a lightsaber is spawned in the middle of the map and the objective is to grab it and score kills the opposition is every body else armed with the games weaponry to kill the Jedi Master once he/she dies the saber is flown towards the direction of the person who killed him/her then repeat from there it would have been a great concept and easier with a smaller lobby size but overall star wars Jedi knight Jedi academy is a well made game with very few minor problems but definitely would recommend this to any star wars fan or any FPS fan looking to step earlier in the genre

The game starts you off by creating a character of different races, male or female, and look. It also lets you customize how your lightsabe looks and feels. It jumps you into the academy early on where you get to meet Luke Skywalker and another favorite, Kyle Katarn. The game allows to utilize the force powers of any force user, but also choose which powers you want to enhance that are on the light or dark side. Dont worry choosing which powers you want do make you that side or the other, but the choses you make while playing the game will. You will have a choice a few times through the game to turn to the dark side of the lights side, but be warned, if you choose the dark side you might have more than you can handle at the end of the game. The story line isnt the most interesting, but fits well with Star Wars and makes the levels make sense. As you beat missions and play the overall story mission you are advanced in rank among the jedi. When you becom full blown Jedi your basic powers are fully enhanced and you get the choice of duel weilding, double bladed or stay single hilt. Keep in mind which ever type you choose your fighting style will alter to fit the saber. This game is filled with fun and action and a great Star Wars game. It has a higher replay value than most games and is a great buy to all who love Star Wars!

If you are lucky enough to see the game in one of the stores i would recommend buying it. The fact that you can make your character to represent your own personl style is pretty cool. You can change your clothes and also change the color of the clothes and lightsaber hilts. You can also choose your race which is pretty cool too. The way that the light saber battles look like something right out of the movies. You also have a choice of multiple weapons including the light saber which you start out with, which is pretty cool. You can also choose to learn dark side force powers or light side as you progress through the game. Also when playing in multiplayer mode you can play as all the characters you see while going through the game. The farther you get in single player the more characters you unlock including Luke Skywalker. I like the way that the double bladed light saber plays in the game it is much like darth mual's light saber style. And when using two light sabers at once it is much like how Anikan was in the movie when he used to sabers at once. You can also choose from three different light saber styles Fast, Medium, and Slow. Slow does the most damage medium is like an all around not too slow but not fast, and not too strong but not weak. And my favorite saber style is fast. You block shots quickly and then strike in three hits quickly while being able to quickly recover to block. All in all this game is a must have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ikurus from Amazing If you can get it.. For an old Xbox game, this game is a must get. The only problem in getting it is that it is a really rare game to find. Anyone who has had this game almost never trades it in so they are hard to come by. But if you can get your hands on this game it is great. You can customize your character from race to type of light saber and even your force powers. The one thing I really like about this game is that when you draw your light saber out it goes into third person, and when you have a gun or grenade it goes back to first person. Another great feature is the multiplayer, if you have a friend over you can play with them as well. You can also play on Xbox live but there isnt as many people on the game as there used to be. All in all this game is a must for anyone who likes star wars, and even if you dont. I have had this game for years and i still play it alot. And it is playable on 360.
