Enemy Front - PlayStation 3

Product Description

ENEMY FRONT is the first truly modern WW2 FPS, featuring stunning visuals, open-ended levels and a richly interactive combat experience that breaks away from the standard model of highly linear scripted FPS experiences, giving the player full freedom to own their playing style.. Intense Combat, Sniping, Stealth and Sabotage – all are viable approaches for the player, maximizing player engagement and replayability.

Against the visceral backdrop of breathtaking European locales, the player takes on the role of American war correspondent Robert Hawkins, as he fights hand in hand with Resistance Fighters opposing the Nazi juggernaut in France, Germany, Norway, and during the Warsaw Uprising.

  • Choose your own fight: gameplay blends fast-paced FPS action with precision sniping, thrilling stealth, and deadly sabotage
  • Deal death from afar; use sniper rifles to decimate enemy ranks and pick off officers, enemy snipers and heavy weapons gunners with deadly precision
  • Breathtaking visuals, interactive environments and spectacular action across many iconic Resistance operations of WW2.
  • Choose your own weapon: full arsenal of WW2 weaponry across all categories of hand-guns, SMGs, assault rifles, sniper rifles as well as signature Resistance weapons including the Sten gun, Welrod Silenced Pistol, and Lightning SMG.
  • Own the battlefield: combine reconnaissance, explosives and marksmanship to prepare, misdirect and ambush numerically superior Nazi troops.
  • Engaging, destructible environments and advanced tactical AI means combat is always a rewarding and dynamic experience.
  • Highly replayable 10 hour Single-Player Campaign and 12-player Online Multiplayer, all powered by CryENGINE technology.

Thought the game was about 80-85% accurate overall, especially regarding resistance missions during WWII. Graphics are dated, but no more than many other shooter games.

I disagree with the first review. Granted the graphics weren't what I expected for a 2014 game (especially since the company bragged about the power of cryengine) but the gameplay and story were the strong points. Graphics don't make a game (in my opinion) and the multiplayer stinks. In my opinion buy the game in a couple of weeks when you can buy it used.

Not the game that's described by CI Games

The description for this game features hi-lights such as "Stunning visuals", "Open-ended levels", and "breaks away from the standard model of highly linear FPS experiences". The game was announced in November of 2011, which makes sense as to why the graphics don't fit with the 2014 games. Leaves look like green paper, grass is flat, frame rate issues every 5 seconds. I started playing on medium difficulty and have died numerous times, not because the game is hard, but because the frame rate lags so much and the aiming controls are so bad that I get killed before I even get a chance to shoot a single bullet at the enemy. Open-ended levels? They've terribly mistaken what this phrase means. In the game, you get to choose certain things like "Do you wanna sneak in or blow everything up?" While that does give a bit of freedom to have players create their own experience, its not a fully 'open-ended' experience, like the description says. And the game being non-linear? It's just as linear as every Call of Duty game ever made and ever will be made. Go here, shoot this guy, pick this up, blow that up, go there, repeat. Every level, every time. it's not different. Story is ok, voice acting is kinda under-par, controls are horrible, frame rate issues are a major headache and frustration-causing problem. The ONLY thing i really liked about this game is the background noise. Gunfights in the distance as well as a few explosions, nature, and similar stuff really creates a great atmosphere for the game, but if you want great atmosphere, go to a restaurant, not a video game. As for the multiplayer, it's highly unpolluted, servers are bad at connecting players, and there's so much lag it makes Battlefield 4 look like a perfect game.

Had really high hopes for this game being I'm sick and tired of what COD is putting out. First off the trailer leads you on, the game doesn't play as well as shown. Like other people said the frame rate is horrible very choppy. The graphics are mid grade at best. The brush and trees look cheap, the characters should be far more advanced than what they are graphic wise for 2014. The controls suck trying to navigate from weapons and to other items, coming from COD or BF your going to mess up. Playing on easy is still a pain trying to shoot your enemy "frame rate". Online play forget it, I spent 15 minutes trying to get in a room and still didn't happen. Best parts of the game, well if your into the WW2 era the visuals are pretty good, landscape minus walking into the brush look good, the shots on your enemies are good when hit. Weapons are from the 1940 era which is cool. Overall really sad this game isn't better looked good in the videos better try next time.
