With the Network Adaptor (Ethernet/modem) for PlayStation 2, just about anything is possible. Like downloading new rosters, stadiums or characters. Trash-talking opponents you've never met. Or better yet, starting your very own east coast-west coast sports rivalry. All against live competition, so no two games are ever alike.
You'll immediately feel the power of getting your game online with playable demos of Madden NFL 2003 and Frequency that is included with the Network Adaptor Start-up Disc. Not to mention the mail-in offer for a copy of Twisted Metal: Black ONLINE. But the Internet action doesn't stop there. The best accessory for ps2 a certain must have!If you dont want to have to play single player or multi player all the time on ps2 then I would highly recommend this accessory. It is a must have for ps2. Although it may have less players than current consoles depending on the game it offers so much fun and one more person joining the ps2 online community isnt a bad. If you have the "Fatty" model PS2 then you should consider buying one of these. Socom, Call of duty, Black Hawk Down, Killzone, Battlefield 2, and many other titles still have players. When I bought it I was so happy. I instantly plugged it in and began dominating on Call of Duty 2 Big red one. I play almost everyday because its so fun. Sadly as time passes the PS2 is getting towards the end of its life span it a great thing to use.

Nice And Simple PS2 Network Adapter...To be honest, when I first had the notion to buy this device, I was only doing so for nostalgic sake. For I recently purchased a pre-owned Playstation 2 at my local Gamestop. But the unseen benefits of this device became apparent after getting it home and doing a little research about it. Come to find out there is still a Sony Playstation 2 On-Line Network, just with bare minimal functionality. Game updates, ect. ect. No real game severs have been seen by me so far. Another reward, on the part of the adapter that connects to your PS2 "Fat Boy" model, there is a power hookup and an I.D.E. computer hard drive connection. If one gets the right kind of hard drive, say the recommended 7200 RPM and a Max of 200 Gig's, one can install the hard drive to the PS2 and save games and memory card information to the drive. Also this adapter is real easy to set up, and don't worry if your adapter didn't come with a silver colored setup disk, you can always got to the Internet and find out which one of your games has a pre built in netowrk setup feature, and then install the device up that way. All in all, I'm happy that I got this, both for limited functionality and nostalgic sake.

Playstation 2 Network AdapterThe network adapter performs very well. It is very easy to install and use. It doesn't seem to freeze up or anything. Overall it is very good. A must buy if you want to play online with your PS2.
