This game, like so many of the Pokémon games actually did a good job of keeping players interested. While the set up to battling is just like the handheld games, you have the added benefit of 3D and get to see the full extent of the moves your Pokémon are using. Stand alone or with friends this game was exciting. The main part that made it so much better was that you could use your Pokémon from your handheld game if you had the converter. Thus really testing your skills as a trainer. The added part about the was that there were side games like Mario Party you could play with friends and my favorite part, being able to play your handheld game on the TV. Yes, instead of playing on the small Gameboy screen you could plug in your game with the converter and it allowed you to play it with the added benefit of the TV screen. For what it was, it was fantastic. Keep in mind the only handheld games this game supports is Red, Blue and Yellow. If you're a Pokémon fan I recommend this game for nostalgia and fun with friends. So instead "Gotta catch'em all", lets say "Gotta battle them all".
