In a world ravaged by plague, the people depend on a blessed crystal. In order for this crystal to maintain its sparkle and power, Mirula Droplets are constantly needed. These crystallized drops can only be found in the deepest, darkest caverns of a far-off dungeon. Every year, the Crystal Caravan must collect the precious Mirula Droplets, burdened with the fate of the villagers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bradly80 from A misunderstood classic This game is actually good. The mechanic of carrying around pots was actually a very misunderstood mechanic. It really did work well in multiplayer to keep everyone together and keep one of you from running off. This was also one of the few games that really took advantage of the link cable set up with GBA.

Rated 2 out of 5 by FInal Fantasy Fan92 from Confusing at first glance I like the introduction of the song and making the game look like an adventure but it’s not what I imagined to be. The game made me want to like it but it wasn’t fulfilling like the other final fantasy games. Don’t get me wrong, I like the new battle system, graphics and soundtrack but it rubbed me off the wrong way. Part of it was having to own the gameboy vgc or something to play with friends. I probably would rate 4-5 stars if I had the gameboy connector thing and friends interested in final fantasy crystal chronicles.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Urboy from Why did i buy this I bought this game because i just realized that my wii could play gamecube games and i wanted a final fantasy game. But i shouldn't have. The gameplay is terrible the combat system is terrible, the music is terrible. In the end i ended up hating all the characters because they had no story or development whatsoever. The level design is boring and when you play this game all youll be saying to yourself is why does this happen and this is so stupid. I could go into deep detail about why its so bad, but its a waste of time. Everything is so bland and lifeless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kelsah from Hands Down Best GC RPG This is my favorite game for the GC to date. I still play it 8 years later! It has a fantastic soundtrack and the graphics are superb for a GameCube game. The characters are appealing and some have some interesting dimension to them. Plus there's a multiplayer mode ( You do need to find multiple GameBoy Advances/SP and the link cables to play though). Dungeons can get tricky as the years reach past 10 so look online and research the best gear. Start in the early years to get things you need for gear later on! Over all this game is super clever, amazingly fun, and great in every way. I can't talk about it enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ultrajon from Does not receive enough credit! Final Fantasy CC was a childhood favorite of mine and still is! I am now twenty and still want to bust this bad boy out every now and then. This game actually came out before the one on the ds or wii did so this is the original Crystal Chronicles. What is happening in this game is that every town runs on crystal like water that keeps the towns alive. To search for more crystals the town sends out crystal caravans to go get it then bring it back. The crystals however are located where old town used to be until they got ran over by baddies because that towns caravan never returned. it is a fun little story to play around with. The gameplay should be done in co-op! although you need for gameboys advances or gameboy advance sp to play as well as four cords that you cannot find anywhere because they game is so old. The game play is simple because each person usually focuses on one thing. They way my cousins and I did it was that one person attacks, one person uses magic, one person heals and the last person would carry the challice to put the crystal in. Normally I would not write a review for an old game, but this game deserves so much more credit then it is getting on here. The game is fun and if you are able to find it then you should pick it up as long as you have friends to play with. They should remake the game for the wii, but instead of that cord nonsense you should be able to use your ds, dsi, 3ds.
