They are Authentic, but for what ever reson you do get a Bootleg it would have been an oversight and you will be reimbursed and or be given an authentic copy. Gamestop is really good about returns and helping with any issues you may have.
in general your gonna have to change the battery since its old. once you have a new battery everything should be fine and you can soft reset or shiny hunt all you want.
Mine is indeed authentic. Verified by sticker examination, the type and color of plastic used, the type of screw used to seal the case, the circuit board layout, the presence of the component on the board used to keep time, the printing on the board (you can see the Nintendo logo) and the size and placement of the battery. I would recommend doing some of these tests yourself though to be sure though.
You mean internal. But probably yes, this is gamestop afterall...
The original they didn't remake crystal version only gold and silver were remade into heart gold and soul silver with some crystal version aspects
If they are fake then they will just say game and if they are real than they would say GameBoyAdvance on them and have the imprint of two numbers on the sticker.
On the label there should be a small indent (verification number) for most US manufactured Nintendo game on the somewhere around or above the bottom right corner. Secondly, most reproductions have a smaller chip that only take up the bottom half real ones have a full chip. Third, if Pokemon Crystal does not have sparkle, sparkle and it's plastic then it is not real. I hope that helps I have gotten many retro games from this site they are legit, work beautifully, most of the time the cover art is in phenomenal condition, sometimes you need to change the battery but, that's okay. :)
I don’t think it does. The battery is easy to replace though. If you take it to a retro game store, they will do it. Otherwise I have replaced batteries myself and it didn’t cost much. Like I said, it’s pretty easy and the game should work fine after the battery gets replaced.
