Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge is an enjoyable game. Like most Banjo-Kazooie games, you have to go to world to world to find little puzzle pieces to enter another world and continue. The game is fun, challenging and carried some traits from Banjo-Tooie. Music is catchy, but graphics could have been better because the environments all look like paintings and sometimes the areas can be annoying on the platforming. And when you get further, there are going to be puzzles that may not make any sense and can be difficult, enemies you may not know how to defeat, and there will be parts you're stuck on, trust me. But overall, buy this game if you've played other Banjo-Kazooie games.

That's what I was thinking. I don't want to say it's a spinoff... But that's kinda what it is. Rare would've done a much better job if they've done this on the GameCube/XBox (I don't know who thay were working for at the time being) so it would've been like the N64 Classics.

Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge

I'll probably be shunned for saying this, but I've never played the original Banjo Kazooie game. I've heard great things about it, but I never got around to trying it out. So instead, I got this GBA sequel, and if this is any indication, I don't see what all the hype is about. The game is fun, I'll give it that, but unfortunately, it's just like every other platformer in that puts way too much time into collecting items. And overall, the game is just OK, nothing unique like everyone says. However, you can find the game cheap nowadays, so if you have some money to blow and you want a good platformer, then this might satisfy your needs. Just know what you're getting: an average platformer that is fun at times but has some flaws too.
