I literally bought my first Nintendo switch console just to play this game. I had NO IDEA the phenomenon about to unfold in front of me. Easily one of the greatest RPG games EVER made. This to me is instantly up there with greats like Zelda link to the past, final fantasy 3, super Metroid etc. I grew up on 2D RPGs and I hate that they don’t make them like this anymore, especially for consoles like PS5. The gameplay nostalgia is so satisfying, the music, the story of each character, the graphics. OMG I want to play this game from the beginning like I never played it before! Too bad I can’t. Get this game, it’s an absolute must have. You will play for endless hours. I’m 150 hours in and still did not defeat the final boss yet lol. Watch YouTube videos for tips because I you will definitely need them

A beautiful JRPG with incredible sound and mechanics that prove SquareEnix is still producing at the top of their capabilities. While the narrative on this one is (intentionally) disjointed and predictable, it is not until 50+ hours in the game when the individual stories of the traveler's finally start coming together, and the player's investment into each of the 8 characters journeys feels worthwhile.
SE does it again with how amazing their JRPGs are. From FF to now this its truly a great game! We're glad you like it and thank you for your review!
Altho graphics is in pixels of old console, the game could apply some pretty nice environment effects like sparks, action effects, animated background. Game play is flexible as it provides 8 selectable characters of diff fighting styles. At start they each learn their own set of original type's skills, and later they can take another job type and learn other skills. The turn-based method is still good without being too slow. The music collection is really nice, soothing, and main characters have voice acting. The stories r little slow and simple, and dialogues r too long sometimes. Overall, it's a great RPG that has flexible choices to play at least 40+ hrs.
I wouldn't have played this game, if it weren't for my brothers recommendation. Thousands of video games out there. And honestly the title doesn't really attract. I love the different characters. How I can discover all their story lines. The games love affair with fruit. The turn based battles. The depth in characters. The games artistry. That beach sand is.... Wow. Since my other game is Elden Ring, I need a more relaxing counterpart. I want to play this game for hours. Steal from NPCs. Capture animals like a pokemon huntress. Wonder why the chick who prays to the flame, has light as a power. Great game. And little complaints.
